Like, just... On every record. Ever. Ask Richard patrick about the Great Drone Guitar Sound Contribution.
But seriously, look at the contributors on The Fragile, for example..

The only 3 names I really expect to see in a nine inch nails release nowadays are:

    Trent Reznor
    Alan Moulder
    Tom Baker

Any musician other than TR I consider a guest.

So, there's a count down of sexy songs right now on Channel 4. Closer is being featured right now. A woman that presents a "body shocking show" is talking about how "obviously sexy" it is. Errr. Also being interviewed: Sean Beaven and Ron Jeremy. "The perfect song to have sex to". "Its video with its fetishes and freaks". ARE YOU DEAF AND BLIND

Hey yo, teach me how to do that! I have so many old NIN shirts that I foolishly bought in XL. Oh, 90's, what were you thinking??

Dunno if it has been mentioned or not, but NIN and a pic of Trent are featured on page 25 of the July/August edition of Playboy US. I can snap a pic if anyways cares enough.

It could be worse. I once saw a girl try and do a strip tease to Ruiner.......It was awkward

Spotted on my way to work today in Kansas City. Pretty neat to look up at 7am and see a giant NIN logo staring down at me.

It's at one of those three stop lights on the stretch of 71 highway going north, before you transfer to 435.

This must be the sort of promotion that Trent meant only a record label could achieve, fullon billboard posters across multiple cities. Just not logistically possible for two guys to achieve on their own.

I remember for Paris 2007, we achieved to find a very small unique poster in the subway, and for the first time there was no interview at all.

Well, you can just hire contractors for that, look at the whole YZ ARG, there's no way reznor and sheridan would have achieved that on their own either. If they wanted to bother, they could pretty much do whatever they want, I just think it's too much hassle for them, and they want to focus on what really interests them. I mean, the whole YZ era and subsequent tour must have been a real bitch to handle, seeing how they had to control every moment of it, and were regarded as responsible if something went south...

Thats actually a very good point. I forgot how much PHYSICAL marketing went into YZ as well as Internet stuff. USB keys, telephone lines, meet ups, secret gigs, huge artwork billboard posters, cellphone distribution and 'abduction' vans, posters with codes on, badges with 'shards' on, wow.....as well as the dozens of Internet sites, videos, sound clips, emails!

The more you think about it, the more you realise how huge it was! I wonder how much it cost??

Not really, they picked their own spots, when they wanted, they didn't have to cover the whole world during 6 months. The time is an important factor mentionned by Trent.
