It's a great song to begin with, but they absolutely kill it during this performance. Vocals are top notch.
This song is so good. That beat.
I've been on a 90s and 00s gangsta rap binge lately, this is a rare one from Shyne who was signed to Bad Boy Records back then. The production and flow in this song was ill.
this is fantastic. watch roger & lip read haha.

Converge - Dark Horse
an STP Not Scott playlist. First up was Talk Show, now playing is Army of Anyone. Up next are the actual STP sans Scott.
at trent's suggestion, i checked out one of jehnny beth's videos and wow, i am in love. she would have been an incredible opener. hopefully she'll still tour with nin some time!
p.s. it tells you at the very end of the video, but you may as well know ahead of time that the voice at the beginning is cillian murphy
Alien Mustangs - Alienation (pretty damn good psychedelic rock from my country)
Been digging Brutus a lot lately after hearing them in regular rotation on our local nonprofit station. Bird is the song that I'm hooked on now; but Drive is the one that first caught my attention. This is an act I'd honestly like to see open for NIN, but I know it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.
Bonus points for a heavy rock band that has A: a woman singing lead, and B: singing lead while being the drummer.
brand new Disclosure. New abum (first in 5 years) out in August. This song (and video) is FUN!
been listening to the whole run of Pod Minutes to Cast Night and I'm currently on the Korn dubstep episode. I'm a little enamored of the crew and also intimidated by their knowledge. I do appreciate that the episodes have finally given me free reign to hate things instead of find something to like. I've always been "well, maybe this part was good" but hearing them I finally understand that it's OK to just straight-up hate it.
Some of the vocabulary is lost on me because I'm ~10-15 years older than they are so when they are talking about what it was like growing up in the scene I have only a barest idea what they're talking about. I usually just think back to what my brother in law was like (he's 13 years younger than I am) when he was a teen and had the gauges and spiky DBZ hair. probably wrong but it's the closest I got.

Black Dresses - LOVE AND AFFECTION FOR STUPID LITTLE BITCHES
Feels wrong that this project never actually got a mention here while it was still together from my cursory search. Seems to me like a clear descendent of the music that this board is about, even though the line of influence does not seem to be direct (edit: it is). I hope more people get to hear it.
This is raw as hell, but crisply written industrial pop that wonderfully embraces what would probably be considered "bad" and "overly digital" sounds and timbres with a purposeful zeal rarely seen outside of a 90s Atari Teenage Riot record. There's of course many other precedents for what's happening here thematically and sonically, but their music still felt genuinely fresh to me the first time I heard it, and still does. Also the performances are incredible, especially for the kind of parts and melodies they are often tied to. This is abrasively sincere music in multiple ways.
I really love that in music "aggressive" verbs and adjectives can often play much more ambiguously than they do in other forms of art where they tend to be more strictly functional. Black Dresses illustrate this idea really well, other people have aptly described them as encapsulating feelings of being powerful and powerless at the same time. This is extremely bold and big music that's often about feeling small, which a lot of my (other) favorite music also is.
At least both members are really prolific, producing a lot of music in other projects. This record from August of 2019 is not even their most recent album, I just suspect it's a slightly better introduction to their music.
