I discovered my first gray hair sometime last year, and I was actually a little surprised by how much it freaked me out. I guess it just caught me off guard, cause I was 30 and I assumed I had a while before it was time to start experiencing that shit. I'm not particularly vain, but I am extremely prone to existential dread and sadness about mortality. So I spent like two months feeling ridiculously depressed anytime I noticed it in the mirror.
But that feeling has basically passed by this point. I'm not even sure why, to be honest. I guess I just got used to it. After all, no one can stop this shit from happening. I guess I just figure that if life is limited, I shouldn't waste that limited time feeling all bummed out about things like this and should try to find a way to feel happy with my days. Which sounds fucking trite as hell, but I'm too sleepy to think of anything better at the moment.

Okay, so i just wanted to relate this to you guys. The weather here is so fucking strange.
24 hours ago it was 70 degrees here, and the wind was blowing a STEADY 40mph with VERY frequent 60mph gusts. That was the warmth blowing in; it had previously been like 30 degrees.
A few hours ago, the wind started blowing again, but this time, cold air.
Now it is 10 degrees and falling and SNOWING, and tonight the low is -3.
Tis strange but i like it. It's interesting.

My little four year old niece and 2 year old nephew are here now, and good GOD they make me happy, especially not having kids of my own-also my brother and his wife are here too.
My son was gifted a keyboard over the summer and he's been teaching himself how to play it. He's even composing small minute-long songs for it, writing the notes down and everything as he's going. It's awesome to come home from work and he's excited about the newest song he can play or the newest song he's written.
