So did anyone know about this collab Richard did with Hotei (the Kill Bill theme dude)? I just kinda happened upon it.

A DOCUMENTARY CALLED "RAMMSTEIN PARIS" WILL BE PROJECTED AT CANNES FESTIVAL

A documentary called "Rammstein Paris" will be projected at Cannes Festival
Partager : Partager sur Facebook Partager sur Twitter Partager sur Google+
A 98 minutes documentary about Rammstein will be broadcasted at Cannes Festival this year. "Rammstein Paris" has been directed by Jonas Åkerlund, who also filmed the concerts in Paris, on March 6th and 7th, 2012. The teaser says this: A subtle musical documentary glorifying the Teutonic band, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, author of the "Lady Dior" advertising, with Marion Cotillard. What else?

The documentary was projected on May 11 at 3:30pm (local time) at Palais H and will be projected again on May 16, same time, at Palais B. There are good chances that the film will be included as a bonus on the upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray of Paris.

Shit, I wish I'm at Cannes now. That, a new Iggy Pop documentary by Jim Jarmusch (who has another film playing at the festival), and a new Jodorowsky film.

Saw this somewhere else. Looks promising:

The MiG tour was amazing. So, the thought of a Blue Ray release of this makes me drool.

    Controversial opinion time:

I think the lyrics to "Yukon" are up with the best Till has ever written, including RT material.

Absolutely. I really enjoy Skills In Pills a lot but even if I didn't I still think that'd stick out to me, it just has such a power to it and his delivery is one of his best out of a long career of excellent vocal performances.

    Re: Yukon
it absolutely is a treat no matter whether one likes rammstein or not, and i'd love a german version on a rammstein album.
i only got one question — why in the helliest of hells is it placed between two most obnoxious songs, goddamnit.

What do you guys think the set lists will be like at the upcoming shows?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they will actually play Rosenrot and Mein Land.

edit: Wow, didn't realise the fan club rehearsal show was tomorrow -

I believe the directors are planning to re-release this with new footage and HD transfer. But dont qoute me on that.

Edit: A couple things I love about this footage, Flake's constant smiling, and that random girl walking around with that look of boredom.

@Conan The Barbarian I'm still confused about that footage in the above video - you're saying it's been released somewhere before?

And Jesus Christ at that set list!

Yes that old doc called atchung! Wir kommen. Its about the german music scene i believe and you Rammstein in its infantile stage. You see more footage of that performance like rammstein, weisses fleisch, etc. you see them in a house and recording a demo. YouTube it.

Zerstören live?!? Fuck I've always dreamed of that. One of my favourites by them and cannot believe they played it finally! I hope they start digging into Rosenrot stuff a bit more it is quite a gem. Also Hallelujah damn!

Intro Medley has me intrigued, other than that quite the normal setlist and no new songs (guess they will hold them off until the tour starts). But Hallelujah is a dream coming true and also Reise, Reise! Good to see Mein Herz brennt again, as well as Engel. Really looking forward to the July shows in Berlin!

Hmm really don't know if I should spoil myself before the show or hold on through for 4 weeks and not get any info on the show....I really hope we don't get Deathstars or Combichrist again as support.

Are any of these festivals their playing getting live streamed? If so, is anybody planning on capturing them?

many festivals if not all are streamed these days, some even have replay so you can usually download that, hellfest did that last year. now the question is will they allow the stream or not?

As much as this thread is probably my second reason to come to this board (aside from NIN obviously), I'm gonna stay away from this thread for the next month and a half. I'm attending the show in Quebec on July 17th and I want to go in knowing as little as possible. So, I'll catch up with you guys in mid July, lol.

I briefly, briefly skipped passed some of the song discussion above that was played at the rehearsal and I'm already mad at myself for stopping to read what I did. (spoiled 2 big, big songs for myself...)
