^^ Did that article even REVIEW the show? It seemed like it touched on everything but the show itself... "Yeah, NIN and SG played Seattle before. Yeah, Death Grips were supposed to show up but they didn't... oh and I like Rob Zombie"... WHAT!?!
How some of these people get jobs in journalism is beyond me.
I think I recognise the back of that head
From Gwent Stefani's FB "On my way to apple launch w dr dre"
Well, he did not get a job in journalism. He's not even a writer by trade -- he's a fotog.
This is just some amateur local music blog (the editor-in-chief's real job is working for a newspaper, for instance) -- like zines back-in-the-day.
Even if it was the online arm of a printed publication, or a professional online-only publication, half of the people writing "reviews" these days are stringers who aren't employed by the publication. They're amateurs who are lucky to be paid anything other than a pittance to do it, unless it's for a major publication.

NIN and Trent are mentioned a couple of times in this interview, though nothing special. Good read, though, if you have the time, and the music isn't too bad either.

Trent and Kobe should collaborate. I don't know what they would collaborate on, but it would probably be hilarious.
Not sure if this counts: Amanda Palmer name-drops Trent and NIN in discussing U2's new album through iTunes and things related to that: http://amandapalmer.net/blog/20140910/
phantogram mentioning trent reznor (or beck) as dream collaborations: https://twitter.com/Phantogram/statu...31792629428224
Turns out Take my Breath Away woman, Terri Nunn was at the Hollywood Bowl show and is a big fan

This just showed up on my Twitter feed
This is a culinary spotting. A Kickstarter project is aiming to turn every song into a meatball (complete with recipe). For NIN we have:

Not technically a NIN-spotting, but according to Cook, it was the Beats Music experience that really convinced him to buy Beats. Kinda cool, considering that 99.9% of their profits are probably from headphones, that it's the small side project Trent was involved in that inspired such a big move.
He's still Chief Creative Officer, but working for Apple now.
Craig Ferguson mentions that he has the same birthday as Trent (among other people) on Friday's Late Late Show:

Head Like A Hole comes in at #42 on SPIN's "50 Best Bro-Dance Songs Of All Time". (I don't get it either.)

i've honestly never understood the "bro" culture that seems to exist around certain aspects of NIN. when i saw them in 2005, there were SO MANY BROS at the show, with their backwards hats and their ultra-misogyny and their spilling their beer all over me (ah, i digress...) and i don't get it. i'm not saying anyone can't enjoy any kind of music, and i'm not an elitist or a hipster that's going to get pissed off because someone else likes the band i do, but i really just don't get how people who generally seem like unintelligent jerks with no regard for anyone but other like-minded white dudes would like something with the emotional depth and complexity of NIN.

I feel like "Closer" has a lot to do with it.
("I Want To Fuck You Like An Animal" for all you bros out there.)
EDIT: Damn, @talkingnothing beat me to it.

Honestly, they're at just about every concert I go to- doesn't matter if it's NIN or Slayer or someone else.
I prefer to call them "doosh bags". Personally don't care what people wear (I'm not the "NIN type" myself) just don't be a drunken jack ass, and probably doesn't help when said doosh looks like he just crawled out of a frat party.
Brief mention/quote from Trent in the beginning of a fairly interesting Playboy interview of David Fincher.
