All throughout my teenage years, this poster adorned my wall, and I always thought Scott looked like the coolest motherfucker in it even though he had left right around the time I was introduced. Loved his hairstyle there and the zig-zag eyebrows were an inspired touch.

It was bittersweet when he left, because while he was responsible for so much of the band's early sound, he wasn't really on board with the ACSS direction and beyond. Band would never have made it without him though.

I gotta see if I can find a lossless source on that huge spooky kids compilation now.

There's a certain bay online that has the three disc compilation in FLAC. Only has one seeder right now, so as soon as I have it I'll look for a place to upload it for a direct link. Any suggestions for free hosting sites these days?

I don't know too much about this stuff anymore, but concert bootlegs still seem to upload to MEGA pretty often - it's one of the few free ones left that doesn't cap speeds for free accounts as far as I know.

annnnnnnnnd the one seeder disappeared at only 51.7% completed

edit: and back, but speed is wildly fluctuating now. Fingers crossed that it'll complete; should have it by this evening as long as they don't completely disappear.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that song was never performed pre-release, right? So Scott never actually got to do that one live?

I don't think it was, there's a couple of versions on Antichrist Final Songs though which he may have had a hand in

I brought Daisy up in conversation with my boss and the FIRST thing he said was "oh wow. Being gay does have its bad side."

Wow dude, hope you choke on your next meal.

Portrait isn’t high on the list of Manson albums for me but I can’t deny he left his mark all over that album and his guitar work was great. Dogma is probably my favourite of his compositions. He also had a hand in the guitar work of Tourniquet right? With the bends and stuff on the lead?
Yes he is a writer of that song. There are performances of the song during the smells like children tour.

Speaking SLC, the uncut version is the version. I’d replace abuse pt.2 with maybe cause discoloration of feces.

No he wasn’t. Also if I recall, in the Long Hard Road Out of Hell, it was said he had a girlfriend too during a portion.

    Edit: Cool, see above!

I don't know??? I mean I'm familiar with him by name, but not nearly enough to know one way or the other. But bear in mind, my supervisor is a total stereotypical Kansas townie, that has all kinds of misinformed and half-baked opinions on shit, so I'm almost certain he doesn't know what he's talking about in the first place. But even if he WAS gay, dude, fuck's it matter?

Final thoughts on the matter before I derail the thread into why my supervisor's a terrible person, but you get it.

I've got these as well as the pre-Reznor Portrait mixes, but I don't know if those are safe to post publicly mates

And we wouldn't have this stuff if not for Daisy

Hardly seems surprising, given recent events that have come to light. I was hope it would prove to be untrue (the guy has at one point or another been a member of three of my favorite bands), but his silence does not inspire confidence. I feel like it'll go down like Bill Cosby – lawsuits and bad press will pile up and he will keep to himself and become a recluse. If he hasn't denied it yet, that's a pretty bad and telling sign.

Why not have Tyler Bates take over as bassist, since he played all the bass parts on the last two albums? Especially since there were no fewer than three occasions in which the bassist took over as the guitar player after the previous guitar player left (Tim Skold [EMDM era], Rob Holliday [briefly], and Twiggy [until Bates was brought in]). With second guitarist Paul Wiley presumably sticking around as a touring member, the band can easily revert to having just one guitarist again. Doesn't really matter a whole lot, as the Manson band has been only nominally a band since EMDM. It's now just Manson, the session musicians he feels like working with, and whoever doesn't hate him enough to refuse to tour with him.

That’s definitely a viable option. I suppose it comes down to does Tyler want to change from guitar to bass and if they want to ditch the two guitar sound live. Like yeah it’s not essential but it definitely adds a bit more power behind the band

I didn't expect TR to acknowledge the Jeordie thing, but I kinda hoped he would have acknowledged Scott. They didn't split ways on a good foot 20 years ago but Scott is still somebody Trent had a bit experience with and Marilyn Manson will always play a noteworthy part in the NIN history no matter how any of them feel about any of the others.
