Sucks, as i'll literally be in Portland a few days before the Portland show (Oct 16-18). If only it were a few days earlier!
I'll actually be in Seattle around that time, and was planning on heading back that evening. Venue is practically on the I-5 so it'll be a quick drive home after.

Heck yeah, that's my favorite of the ones they've been playing live and I was pleasantly surprised that they had some new lyrical content......Satan!

    Kidding. Cool song, though.

they are sooo good live, seen them with the full church setup and also just in front of a red backdrop (supporting alice in chains, bizarrely) and it was excellent both times

Unless I'm mistaken, looks like it's no longer a mask but just facepaint.

I enjoyed the album, but found it to be a little on the short side. The album goes by really quick. Once it starts, it's pretty much over. But that's really my only complaint.
I still like infestissumam the best between the 3 albums, but I think Meliora is a decent second, I enjoy it a lot more than their first album.

    I'd give it an 8/10.

Absolution is everything I love about Ghost in one song. It is the standout to me so far on the album, I can just imagine the crowds getting whipped up into a frenzy during this song.

    Agree with you there!
Absolution and Cirice showcase their talents, influences and sounds from the previous albums.

I still like "He Is" best though. Someone in the Metallica forum pointed out that the solo has a part that is similar to "My Friend of Misery'

great album, definitely my favourite from them.

Well you've named all three of my favourite songs and I'd imagine I'm going to cycle through those as my favourites for a while. Absolution is like a hybrid of Cirice and He Is - it has the riffs and the great chorus.

Yep, it's my favourite album from them too. Rock on!

I seem to be the only one who doesn't rate Majesty, I think it is the weakest track.

Deus in Absentia is such an awesome way to end the album too! Well done Ghost!

Nah, I'm with you on that too. Majesty and Spirit are the weakest in my book, Majesty probably wins that title in a close one.

It really is a great album. Bought the CD and it didn't leave my car stereo until it played through 4 times. I hardly ever do that with a new album I get.

This album is fantastic from start to finish, though I wish Spoksonat and Devil Church weren't just minute long filler tracks. Both songs sound like they're about to grow and lead into something else, and instead it moves on to the next track. Not a weak song on here, and I think my favorites are Spirit, Majesty, and He Is. Really looking forward to seeing these guys in October.

Like it has been mentioned earlier, only issue with the album is that it's over before you know it

currently can't stop listening to Absolution and Deus in Absentia

does anyone like the music though? It seems so reliant on the image... the fact that they sold a special edition version of the album with a butt plug shaped like the singer, the silly costumes, etc... It just seems like it wouldn't work without the visual aspect. Maybe I'm wrong.
