It's £6.99 on this site if it helps, but yeah such a shame that it's so expensive in America, actually it's worse when you're living in Mexico since i have to pay the 30 bucks of the american version and then the shipping too!
I'm waiting for some kind of deal this Black Friday...

it ended up being the cheapest including shipping for me to order it from amazon.ca (since it's "unavailable" on amazon.com)

Craig Murray is quickly becoming one of my favorite visual artists. The video he made for Converge is also stellar!

The video is awesome, to be honest, i wasn't familiar with Murray's work but it's obvious it's one of a kind.

^This is going to be awesome...

I love the "Mogwai-dynamcs" of an "studio album", then remix, then a soundtrack album, lol...

there's literally nothing on there that i don't already own, though : /

i was hoping for some more rarities...stuff that didn't make it on to previous deluxe editions of albums, that sort of thing. this is cool for people who aren't already familiar with the band, but for someone like me it doesn't have much of a point, unfortunately.

I agree, i'm hoping that some of the version are alternate or even remixed, it has the value of a compilation and i guess they needed one after all these years, but it's true that for the "diehard" fans there's hardly anything of interest...

as much as i love mogwai and their box sets (i own almost all of the ones they've released), there is literally nothing in this box that would be new to me, and, therefore, i don't really have a way to justify buying it. which sucks. i was hoping there'd be some kind of unreleased material on it. but i guess that since they've been putting out so many other box sets, they're running out of unreleased material.

It's a comp mostly for newcomers and collectors, i admit i want the Vinyl, despite i own all the tracks, but i already spent on the CODY vinyl a few months ago and got more urgent buys than this one, still i got a feeling i'm going to end up buying "Central Belters" anyway...

I tried to do not buy this 6xLP Box, because the content is not really exclusive... but I failed...

The band hasn't released an official statement, but i'm pretty sure it will appear sometime next year, they are still promoting "Central Belters" and maybe they don't want to overload their fans with releases.

Also: John Cummings left Mogwai last month, the group will continue as a 4 piece.

Apparently he decided to "pursue his own musical projects", it seems he left on friendly terms.

I don't get it either; i understand that "Rock Action" is a small label that only takes care of UK and some places in Europe, but their label in US (and Latin America too by default) is "Sub Pop" and they are owned by Warner music, they should get international distribution by default, it's always expensive to pay for all this imports (mostly shipping).

If I'm not mistaken, Zidane was never available in the US. right?

Maybe a US pre-order will pop up...

interesting! wonder why they're not going with sub pop. but i love TRL (haha just realized that's their acronym) so i'm sure they'll do a good job with it.

p.s. will someone make sure to post here when pre-orders are live?

    Yeah...strange.

UK peeps get an orange variant. Temp Res has commented on the Mogwai FB and said they will have their own colored variant.

Excited for this. TRL only releases top notch shit. I think they did something with Mogwai one other time for their Travels In Constants series. Great stuff.
