Read the book again last week, since I'd kept hearing that the movie follows it so closely.

I don't understand why people keep saying that.

There are so many things left out - everything from minor foreshadowing to entire scenes, just gone.

Meh nothing about the plot itself is changed though, which is pretty rare for big budget adaptations. Some scenes were left out but that is just a give in. Nothing about the story and the way events unfold were changed at all. It matched the book beat for beat, not necessarily scene for scene.

It's been a couple years since I've read CF but I'm completely in love with the movie. Saw it 3 times already. Might pick up the book again soon.
