Is Trent no longer on Apple Connect? I couldn't find any of his previous posts.

I still see the posts, from both "Trent Reznor" and "Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails", just by clicking on the Connect tab in iTunes.

Someone mentioned a NIN song being played during some tv show on I think USA or some channel like that. Did anyone ever find out what show it was?

I think he made it clear last year that the second wave of touring was to make up for the fact that he lost money on the first wave of the tour. I loved the NIN part of the NIN/Soundgarden set but I don't think that pairing was made out of artistic integrity on either bands part. And he's been talking about breaking out of the rock band format before every tour for a while now, and always goes back to it... that at least implies SOME fear that there wouldn't be a mainstream audience for a different version of NIN live. He obviously makes each tour as artistically satisfying as he can, but it still comes off as time to refill the bank account, no? I mean those solid years of touring between WT/Wave Goodbye clearly had something to do with sober Trent realizing he didn't have a nest egg (even if the lawsuit helped).

I also don't think it was a coincidence that Wave Goodbye was the simplest touring set up he'd done in ages. If it was a Wave Goodbye, what better time to have the lowest budget possible and make it all gravy? C'mon, there are DEFINITELY heavy financial considerations on his part in all of these touring decisions.

EDIT: And about the day job comment, I didn't mean a LITERAL day job -- just that (regardless of his time commitment) I'm positive it pays more than the actual music business pays him in an average (non-touring) year.

I mean, let's face it. The reason TR hasn't deviated from the rock format is because the rock format fucking ROCKS and it's really the only way to go (if you want you're ass kicked) and we all know it (yes we want our asses kicked).

I mean, actual living persons who had the same question "when is some new nin?" and didn't live to those various "prominent" events, such as (but not limited to) Fragile, With Teeth, Year Zero, HTDA, Social Network, new version of ETS, etc.
Is it alright to feel sorry for them because the fragile balance between "soon" and "never" has spontaneously and irreversibly played in favour of someone else?

I don't know of a full navigable mirror of all of the ART sites, but the NIN wiki has a lot of info.

I don't know if any of the sites are still active, last I knew they all forward to 24 Entertainment's writeup of the ARG. Which is sad, I do wish we had an archive of all of them.

I always wanted to make an art book of all the screenshots of the websites, or more accurately, I always hoped that somebody else would do it. But I would love to have a physical copy for my collection.
(Not sure if the artbook thing makes sense to anyone else, since it's a digital medium, which is fair enough)

That's exactly what it sounds like! Would make complete sense as well. This is why I love NIN; two plus years since this album came out and I'm still discovering new things in it.

Apple Music, Trent uploaded a slightly different (but much cleaner than tape quality) version of it in the Connect section (so anyone can listen, not just Apple Music subscribers). Part of the Fragile instrumental release he did.

That's weird that you hear that because the final word is pronounced like 'EYE' or the letter 'I'. 'Life' is the only word that seems to fit. As in 'Return to life.'
