does anybody think there would be a chance of NIN reviving one of their old classics (Sin for example) like they did with Sanctified?

Yes, the next time they tour (in 2020).
I think he meant the 2005 Rykodisc re-issue. Basically, the bank obtained the rights to TVT's catalog in some bankruptcy purchase or something. They licensed it to Rykodisc. Trent expressed interest in creating a deluxe edition, and Rykodisc was interested, but not enough to pay him any money to do it. So Rykodisc just reissued the original PHM release (which had been out of print for many years) on CD and vinyl.

5 years later, Bicycle Music purchased the rights from the bank, and collaborated with Trent to do the 2010 remaster.
is there an instrumental version of La Mer?
I still find it weird that Bicycle got Quake too (at least according to copyright documents), how did TVT have part of that
Yeah, I guess you're right; I'd forgotten about that. According to nincatalog, it was 8 months after the 2010 reissue, in 2011, on both CD and vinyl:

Thanks guys. I forgot that story because it didn't make much sense to me. I thought more brand new copies of original PHM is nothing to be ashamed of. Not for label, not for Trent, its author. If a new fan got a 2011 or 2005 reissue and liked it, was that really a waste of money? Speaking of Ryko reissue, i liked their redesigned CD art.
I think the most recent update we had just said "It's still coming". No details whatsoever.
Trent is the Peter North of material releasers.
He mentioned in an interview some "40" demos (which are less "full song just need to edit it" demo and more "I like this sound" demo I believe) that he wanted to see if he should take the time to do something with and include or not. He is basically waiting until the tour (and Gone Girl OST?) are done so he can have the time to sit down with them. I say take all the time you want to include little goodies like demos and early art direction ideas and stories and all that delicious shit because The Fragile is worth it.
There was a (sort of) big thing about that when it was happening. Some people were mad because it seemed like an obvious cash grab, while others were like "what if some people want the original version too? who cares?"
I'm more on the side of "who cares" because it's not like they were ever going to make a disgusting amount of money on that reissue.
Personally I think the remaster has some improved tracks (SICNH) and some worse (Sanctified), so having both makes sense. I'm sure there's some people who prefer some TDS original mixes too. NIN fans kinda have a thing with owning every item obsessively anyway
so have we figured out how trent made out financially on the beats deal?
this may seem like it doesn't matter to NIN but it does if you think about it...
if trent can do more with fewer financial worries, well then that will be fucking awesome
I've been following the tour, but not super closely so I have a question. I noticed in Rob's new batch of photos that TR is playing some bass on this leg. Did he do that on any of the other legs?
I just went looking for the With Teeth/Beside You In Time soundboard rehearsal files. I need to download them again but the links I tried were broken and they seem to have been removed from The Pirate Bay. Is there anywhere I can still get them?
