Here's something I just stumbled upon: Apparently, Leviathan was lovingly remastered in 2017 and available in 24bit: https://www.discogs.com/Mastodon-Lev...lease/13248310
Per the Discogs entry:
Here's the link for 7digital, I'm about to pick it up right now (would be my fourth or fifth time buying this, but it's my favorite) https://us.7digital.com/artist/masto...2C12%2C16%2C1724bit remaster with 2.2dBs more headroom over the original CD release. Track 6 (Megalodon) has had its volume increased to flow better with the rest of the album.
Available on HDTracks in Germany, USA, and the UK. Also available on ProStudioMasters in Canada and the US, and on 7digital in many countries
"Fallen Torches" definitely rocks
It's cool they're releasing this but I'm just going to use it to make my own personal version and seperate all of the live and instrumental tracks as it's own compilation. Here's what my "Medium Rarities" will be....
01 Fallen Torches
02 Emerald
03 The Bit
04 Orion
05 Just Got Paid
06 Atlanta
07 Cut You Up With A Linoleum Knife
08 The Ruiner
09 Deathbound
10 A Commotion
11 A Spoonful Weighs A Ton
12 White Walker
^ This. Stairway to Heaven was a personal release to help their friend.
Quite lengthy interview about Medium Rarities, great read with some fun anecdotes: https://www.rocksound.tv/features/re...fe-DGdEmxn_ppc
I love the set up and decorations
The Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle is having an online benefit honoring Alice in Chains and Mastodon will be performing:
That was an awesome performance, I hope they do more of these type of things in other exotic locations. Jungle, deep caves, freakin active volcano?
Anyways, I made a capture of it. You guys know what's up, if you paid for it and want a copy for offline viewing or archival purposes, pm me.
edit:I'm headed to work and the file is converting, I'll respond to pms in a few hours.
(I also have that adult swim live stream too, since that seems to have disappeared. Let me know if interested)

That was a great set, just caught the stream and cracked open a beer. It was interesting to hear the stories behind the songs. The Sparrow's only lyric was the band's accountant's wife own eulogy "pursue happiness with diligence", they dedicated the song to her. Makes the song more powerful. They have a new album coming up as well! They played a song off of it, called Skeleton of Splendor, dedicated to their late manager Nick John (apparently the whole album is about him/dedicated to him). It was a nice ballad with great vocals by Brann and Troy. The Czar was fantastic in its acoustic form! Live debuts for Elephant Man and Pendulous Skin (wish they played the latter one more often). And it seems like Brent wrote a lot of the songs included in the set (funny that he was the only one with subtitles on at the beginning of the video). Loved how they meshed some fish visuals (like those jellyfish) with the band playing.
Pms sent
I would love to watch this if anyone can help
Did anyone happen to notice what that Moog with the pedals that Troy had was? Looks like a Sub25 with the keybed removed and replaced with a pedal board. Maybe a custom piece? or a prototype TARUS/SUB hybrid?
Hey guys sorry I've been out sick for the last week with stomach problems.... Good now though.
Did everyone get taken care of?
New track
I dig it but kinda forgettable for a first single. Stoked for the album. I wonder when pre-orders go up.
It's not my favorite track of theirs, but I like the new single enough.
Excited that it's a double album (the run time is ~1.5 hours), and I'm especially excited for the longer tracks.

Good song, though it will take a few times before it'll really sink in. The back half of the track is dope.
It clicked for me after a couple listens. I can't believe Scott Kelly isn't on the record this time. I still think it's going to be great.
