    To be fair, I think it was a "victim" of Weinstein's downfall and the director took the time it was in limbo to make changes to it.

    It may end up being a clunker and I won't mind as long as we get to see Cumberbatch use his exceptional talent to show Edison throwing a mega tantrum when he learned that Tesla was right and that AC truly was the future.

    Johnson can fuck right off for that last Star Wars but man that looks fun. Great trailer, and as said, great cast. Perfect time of year to release this too.

    but we're living in a post-racial america, right? :: eyeroll ::

    personally, i don't understand why disney keeps remaking their (perfectly well-crafted) animated films into live action turds, but at least they're trying to diversify and give kids some role models who aren't all white. BUT wouldn't it be cooler if they just made...new movies that did that?

    I dunno, i don't mind um. It's an excuse to take my nieces to the cinema (well it's an excuse for their mum lol) The funny thing is, Disney have been doing this for decades, almost none of their films (as loved as they are) are original, they're mostly already known fairy tales (or in Lion Kings case a direct rip off of an anime!) so it's kinda on brand for them to just remake something people already know, the only truly original creators in their ranks are Pixar.

    ...The Lion King is a retelling of Hamlet

    anyway, there's a difference between a studio doing an adaptation of an existing, well-known fairy tale, and remaking a fairy tale they've already made into a movie. i think that's what bugs me.

    And you thought Sonic with teeth was creepy. This is the stuff of nightmares.

    By the way, female cats have nipples. At least six of them.

    Fuck the CATS movie. The actual theater show is amazing. I can't even come up with a word to describe how shitty this movie looks.

    Wow. Well, I'm in. Great trailer, but really all I needed to know was "from the director of The Witch".
