Barfly is probably my fav Rourke performance. He put his whole body into that one.

His late 90's cameos were fantastic. The 2 minutes he had in The Pledge, blew Nicholson out of the water.

The deleted scene from Thin Red Line as well.

Too bad about the plastic surgery obsession.

I just think what might have been if he took the part of Butch Coolidge that Tarantino offered him.

As a super nerd for the original Universal monster films, I cant wait. And Jonathan Rhys Meyers is going to be a perfect Dracula.

From the producers of Downton Abbey and the director of The Tudors

...Agreed. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little curious, but...Come on. Headless horseman, headless horseman toting a shotgun Terminator-style, time-travelling colonial soldier, Washington's Bible, witches...It just seems like the popular thing for entertainment media anymore is to throw together 6 or 7 different pieces of folklore and myth and see what comes out.

It seems like it could be entertaining, but it'd have to be handled pretty well. Maybe I'll watch an episode or two.

I would watch the shit out of that if it were a movie but I'm sure it's going to make for some of the worst TV ever.

The reviews I'm hearing that are coming out of Cannes are really good. I think we'll be talking about it quite a bit once it comes out.

May be a while away still but Guillermo Del Toro is directing the new John Constantine film!. I think the Hellbalzer series is one of the best things Alan Moore ever created. Such a unique character, an unapologetic junkie early 1980s Liverpool Punk who looks like Sting with powers to contact the underworld. Classic charismatic Anti-hero. Its one of the most influential comic books of past few decades on a lot of writers im amazed a true version has not been produced yet. There were rumors in 1994 of one that never came about and the Wachowskis were rumored to be involved too at one point. Obviously Keanu Reeves version came out but it was totally different and only used certain elements from the comic. I want it darker and grittier than The Crow but to balance the humor.

    Heh. Hellbalzer.

That's really awesome news, though. I personally liked the Keanu Constantine for what it was, but I don't know how loyal it was to the source material or anything. It definitely wasn't perfect, but I liked where it went.

    I watched Dreamcatcher last night.

Never realized how bad that movie was.

I would almost recommend it, it's so bad.

I'm a bit confused about this...

Also: They are remaking Poltergeist . I hope everyone involved with this will disappear into their tv set never to be seen or heard from again. *insert picture of Charlton Heston shaking his fist at the Statue of Liberty here*

Unforgiven remade as a samurai film, starring Ken Watanabe.
