I fucking love Deep and am strongly considering buying the Tomb Raider OST just to have that track on vinyl lmao
Deep is great song, trapped inside a pretty terrible film.
Deep really deserves its own 7" single release with some Fragile-esque artwork so that people don't have to resort to buying the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider soundtrack on vinyl.
I saw that piece of shit FOR "Deep". Anyone remember how they used it? Played the opening five seconds, looped, under a fucking helicopter.
Idiots.

Thanks, but also no thanks; I just watched 7 minutes of the Tomb Raider film, and it's still as terrible as I remember it.
just started getting into Jeff Buckley's music, came across this interview that is pretty recently posted, from 1994. mentions he wish he saw NIN at Woodstock 94. about a minute in.

Maybe they only let the British people speak? I kid.
In a year where the BAFTAs are trying to make up for the lack of diversity of last year where ALL the nominated actors were white, they made great inroads in acting terms but letting Jon Batiste speak first since he’s a great speaker anyway, would have been a very simple quick win for diversity, but I guess no one really cares about who wins score because it’s all actors actors actors like nothing else matters in a film!
This should be really good. New Danny Elfman album featuring Robin Finck & Josh Freese amongst others. I still love the old Oingo Boingo records & Danny's score work is on a par with Trent & Atticus' work (Overall I would go for Trent/Atticus over Danny but it's close). Been a long time since Danny released anything outside of scores & having a bit of NIN DNA cant hurt. The singles I've heard have been stellar along with the videos.

Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Butcher (Andy from Every Time I Die) wore a NIN shirt again. Cool to see NIN in the wild during a wrestling show.
This has to have been mentioned somewhere on ETS, but if not, and for those perhaps late to the party -

An incredible analysis of many NIN tracks. Ixi is currently in the midst of a track-by-track dissection of TDS.
I am so impressed with her work. Have watched every video now. Fantastic. I'm really hoping she does a deep dive into A Warm Place and compares the musical differences between it and Crystal Japan.
i am 100% on board with this. I have been watching too and I am super impressed. She is breathing new life into familiar material for me. Songs that I already adored, but can now appreciate on a whole other level. And he has a humility and authenticity about her. She's not claiming to have more niche fan knowledge than anyone, she's just bringing her skill sets to the table to celebrate the music and give more insight into it for those without her training. As an aspiring musician, I am learning a LOT.
I'm hoping she'll do Tetsuo: The Bullet Man
New interview with Alessandro.

Thanks for posting this. That last question was always something I wondered about concerning the touring band members:
Great answer from Alessandro on that question! Are you working on new music with Trent?
My creative relationship with Trent really doesn’t have a path. If it’ll happen, it’ll happen. It happened for Ghosts and Hesitation Marks. But Trent and Atticus [Ross] have reached such a creative balance that if they’re fulfilled emotionally, I don’t think there should be any exterior contribution. I had those days at the beginning, I won’t deny it, where you feel like you’re dating someone but they don’t want to be in a relationship with you. You’re like, “I’m playing with you—why am I not in the studio with you and Atticus doing stuff?” But Ghosts was a big turning point for me and how I approach music. Trent’s creative output is a function of how he feels, not the people around him. Plus the way that I am as a person I don’t think resonates with him to be in the studio 24/7. I’m an only child and I talk a lot, so I interrupt. I get excited, and he’s probably a little bit like, “Chill, man.” That doesn’t change anything. I love Trent to death and I know he loves me, too. We all do music because it’s who we are. And we find ways of doing it that are a function of what we need emotionally.
I was browsing imgur for S&Gs and this came up on an oddly non-NIN post.
