Yukon's such a great song -- it's definitely my favorite from Skills in Pills.

Probably the only song to be taken serious on the record too, lol.
    Everything else is a joke.

    Q: What about “UConn”?
Till: I was with a close friend, I was on a canoeing trip in southern Canada and we passing the border to Alaska and we canoeing down the Uconn last summer, it was an amazing experience. In the middle of nowhere, if something was happen there is no help their passing you, you’re going to die in seconds, it was kind of dangerous but kind of really, really exciting for me so I had to write about it. It was neat.
Q: That’s awesome do you do much canoeing or outdoor activities frequently?
Till: Once in a while, we have a lot of, where I grew up we have a lot of lakes and rivers and stuff so of course I go canoeing in the summer time but I’m not a frequent canoe guy, not at all.

Yukon, Home Sweet Home, Children of the Sun and That's My Heart are all serious ones. Check that same link above where he talks about them.

I love how he calls the Yukon "southern Canada" lol, that's almost as furthest north as you can get.

I still think Skills in Pills is a blast and while I get that some people may have wanted something more consistently serious, it was a lot of fun getting a generally playful and theatrically-rompy record that indulged in all of Till's love for over-the-top comedy and vaudevillian showmanship. I'm still hoping we get another album sometime.

I'd love more Lindemann over R+ really. It matches my fucked up sense of humor perfectly... in a language I can immediately understand, haha

I didn't find the concert film as distracting as I thought I would. I've watched it once and plan another viewing tonight. The sound is great and the blu-ray picture is stunning.
Is the vinyl version delayed because mine has no date for shipping from Amazon?

Is it just me or is the mixing on the Spotify version of Paris not great?

"Vergiss Uns Nicht" is way overdue for a live performance.

2017 setlist is apparently the same as 2016's. Sigh.

I'm sure that it helps that I've still never seen them live, but it looks like a great setlist to me. Strong mix of staples and some deeper stuff that I'd be thrilled to see.

Trust me, not the biggest fan of what they are doing recently, but the setlist really flows nicely and hell, halleluja is just a glory to behold. Damn nice to have that one back in the setlist and it doesn't get any better than Engel closing the show.

For anyone that has purchased the movie: does the audio significantly drop in quality in the last third? In the cinema that I have seen a real drop-out could ne noticed just like when the sound guys fucks up at a concert. Intentional or an accident?

I've been waiting on my BD copy from Amazon for a few weeks now and it hasn't shipped. I saw something on the Reddit about a manufacturing problem causing delays. Maybe they're fixing it?

Also, is the whole thing cut like this? This is like watching the pro-shot, baby-edited NIN/Bowie footage all over again but worse.

yes, it's one big live music video, pretty much in vein of "ich tu dir weh" but still a little bit more live than that. yet some strange effects have been edited in as well, e.g. Till's snake tounge. Weird choices here and there but I thought the movie was rather enjoyable though.
