So close to the election deadline this comes across as a bit of a desperate ploy to attract minority votes. Where’s $50bn going to come from in a pandemic that will probably cause a major recession? I hope this backfires and pisses off Trumps base enough not to vote for him.
strikes me if Trump really was doing this he’d have been spouting off about it during the BLM protests! But this way, it’s just a rumour and Trump can deny all knowledge but it sows seeds at just the right time

Mike Love is a back-stabbing piece of shit. We always knew he was the shitty guy in the Beach Boys... when Brian Wilson was taking trippy drugs and making crazy music that was light years ahead of its time, Mike Love was more on the "let's write songs about girls and surfing!" That and he legally asserted himself as being in control of the group and then kicked Brian Wilson out on the reunion tour.
And now Love's taken his hi-jacked version of The Beach Boys and had them join the ranks of other great Trump-supporting musical groups, like Three Doors Down and Kid Rock.
Al Jardine and Brian Wilson aren't happy about it.

How about instead of thinking about "failing schools" and replacing it with what appears to be charter schools that you have to be bussed to or pay for, you think about fixing in the infrastructure of what's already there? Increase school funding and repair/replace old buildings. Hell, the middle school I went to was decrepit then and it's been 30+ years since and they're still using it.

The inner city charter schools around here are a joke. They change their names like banks. They use half (or less) of a 70 year old school building and only pay to repave the blacktop. It's something like 24 kids, so the waiting lists are ridiculous and kids that should get in are often turned down.

The Chinese account, the newspaper said, is controlled by Trump International Hotels Management and it paid $188,561 in taxes in the country from 2013 to 2015.
While the tax records don't show how much money has moved through Trump's foreign accounts, the Internal Revenue Service mandates that filers disclose the portions of their incomes coming from foreign countries. Trump International Hotels Management reported only a few thousand dollars from China.
