    Bill and Ted 3

    https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...Bh1OmAh0Rfa1h8

Not exactly a needed sequel, but as a Gen-Xer, and a fan of 80's rock, 'm sort of obligated to check it out.

As long as it's better than the second movie, I'll be happy.

Really? i think "Bogus Journey" is far superior to "Excellent Adventure".

Bogus is.... well.... Bogus, lol. The title says it all.
I rewatched it for the first time probably since it came out back in the 90s a couple months ago, it wasn't very good.

The trailer for 3 is.... meh.... I mean, it's a Bill and Ted movie, shouldn't be expecting an Oscar winning movie.
Keanu just seems out of character in the trailer. Feels like he is just playing himself and not "Ted"

The actor who plays Bill is probably just happy to be in a movie for the first time in nearly 30 years, he seems excited in the movie, lol.

But... either way, as long as it's still on track for this year, I'm happy. Gives me something to look forward to.

I watched both last year and I think the biggest difference between the two is that Excellent Adventure has a certain charm to it.

I mean, he also directing it (and has primarily focused on directing in general... but he's done a bunch of TV acting work too).

Bogus Journey was fun. Came out at the very tail end of the hairband-era. I think by the time it was on VHS Nirvana was taking off.

2 is...troubling. Lots of 'fag' usage as a pejorative and it's just rough.

otherwise yeah it's a pretty fun movie.

very true, and i fucking despise that word. my way to get through it is to remember that it's evil robot bill & ted saying it, which makes it slightly less awful (but not much).

I can't wait! The world needs a fun movie right now with a message about unity.

I have to say it's a bit jarring seeing Keanu lately without some scruff, he looks so naked without it. I'm so used to JOHN WICK now.

Alex Winter looks the exact same as he did in the original movies lol

Keeanu doesn't sound like Ted anymore..but then again, there's supposed to have been SOME maturity with the characters, even if it has been minimal.

Bill and Ted 3 will be released Simultaneously to select theatres and VOD on Sept 1st.

Glad it's not being pushed back til next year at least. I think this is a smart move.
Could pave the way with how movies are released in a post COVID world.

Just realized Sept 1st is a Tuesday... that's an odd day to have a theatrical release. Maybe they're hoping releasing it mid week won't have people flocking to the theatre.

I bailed halfway into it as well. Terrible song.
I'm a sucker for a good movie tie in song, but this one wasn't really going anywhere.

yeah, that tracklisting is horrible, ugh.

then again, in retrospect, the other soundtracks aren't too good. the 2nd being better than the first. but they're very of their time. guess it all comes down to a matter of taste.

The Bogus Journey CD is an odd one--Winger and Faith No More on the same album? Only in 1991.

right? it was the end of one era, the beginning of another. that FNM song is great, and a real representation of it being a changing of eras. though it's a re-recording of a song from 89, it serves as the middle ground from The Real Thing (80's era) to Angel Dust (90's era) .

a perfectly charming film, great for these dark times we are in. I did get emotional at the end, I'll admit. more so because it made me realize how quickly life goes by.

20 bucks is kind of steep for a rental.

eh, it's not $30 so they win that optic war with Disney.

Also you don't want to be the one to set the bar price - especially in these murky times - and then it turns out you set the 'standard' and now you're not hawking as much money as possible out of the rubes.
