Yesterday was the most rainfall Toronto's ever had in a single day. Hundreds of passengers were stranded on a commuter train for hours up to their ankles in overflowing river runoff, with a water snake swimming onto a car with them at one point. Massive power outages still happening today. The theatre festival where I'm working had to cancel a bunch of shows as a result and the subway and other transit is still affected. Yeah, fuck the weather.

Hot and muggy in the northeast - been there done, that.
Hot and muggy in the southeast - yup - same.
Hot and hot in Texas - yup - just stay inside.

    Bring it on Mother Nature.

Ok, don't. I couldn't stand the amount of rain Toronto just got.

It was 118 last week. Right now it's a cool 103.

At least we'll be getting monsoons soon. Hopefully that will cool us down a bit (though they SUCK to have to drive in).

Back from spending three weeks in the Caribbean visiting family, to find the UK in the midst of the longest heatwave in quite a while. Been 30°C almost in most places. Health heat warnings are out.

30°C is AWSOME! I Hope Vancouver gets 1 35°C day this year, I love them!!! Buuut, when over 30°C doesn't come to you, you go to it! I'll be flying to Winnipeg next week, spending 6 days there and then off to Chicago for Lollapalooza. If weather reports out east are accurate i'll be getting my 30°-40°C weather.

Toronto was 34°C feels like 43°C the other day, heh.

Wow. Even Canada doesn't start doing the health-warning stuff until like 35°-40°C, as far as I know.

Weather on Vancouver Island hasn't been too hot lately ~25°ish, but I'm heading over to the city for the weekend so hopefully it gets up to 35°!

Longest heatwave in London since 1976. Grass has turned yellow. However I remember the ferocious legendary deadly European Heatwave of 2003 in which around 50.000 died in France and Spain was shorter but far stronger. weather for whole next week is around 85-95 perfect weather.

Steady rain and some storms since this afternoon. It's been raining off and on all summer, but today's the most it's rained since June I'm guessing. Everything on the ground and in the trees are still green, whereas last year all yellow-brown and dead.

This week has been one of the most beautiful summer weeks in New England. Sunny and 75. It's a dam shame we only get this maybe 6 weeks total in the whole year. At least two in October when the leaves are about to come off the trees. The rest of the time it's either too cold, too hot, too wet, too dry. Gawd we like to complain up here!

After a long week of heat and humidity, and my lack of a.c. it seems the heat wave is coming to pass.

Dramatic. Last night I was headed home from a thing with friends, had just gotten off the skytrain onto the bus and it started raining.
But here's how: No rain, no rain, no rain, no rain ALL OF THE RAIN AND LIGHTNING AND WIND. I got off the bus and the front of my clothes were soaked right through from a half-block mad dash home, stopping under a tall tree for a second to shelter myself from the rain and then remembering "Oh yeah, lightning" and booking it again.

Storming like hell in Chicago. At the park/soccer fields across the street there is a pole/tower that detects lightning. It goes off before, during, and when all is clear with different tones. It's like a damn air raid siren!

Ditto, it can be glorious, what with heavy fogs and all. Downside is there's more rain, which means less work. I've worked 2 out of the last 10 days, next pay is gonna SUUUUUCK.

There's a high risk of severe storms tomorrow in my area, and most of Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan.

Hope anyone reading this that'll be possibly affected keeps safe.

Supposedly "nasty" weather, according to storm trackers. Long track tornado potential all up in the Midwest here. Great...

    How's the weather?

Tornado on the ground (for an hour) southwest of Joliet, heading northeast at 55 mph, the Bears are still playing at Soldier Field, crazy.
