Loving this new RIDE song!
Loving this new RIDE song!
On repeat the past few days...ambient drone guitar post rock (think Hammock). Good stuff...the last track 'For Dad' is amazing.

I'm not sure if anyone here knows of or likes The Daysleepers - they were one of my favorite new discoveries about a decade ago and had so much potential and then completely fell off the planet. Now they're back with some new singles and apparently a new album this year.
They have a very apparent Slowdive/MBV/Cure influence.
This is my favorite thread and I always wait for October_Midnight, Halo eighteen, and Frankie Teardrop to post, you guys have great taste in music. And the Daysleepers are fucking awesome.

Anyone else like Spectres Dying album? I just bought their 2nd album Condition. I didn’t even realize it came out last year, lol. If it’s anything like Dying it will be awesome. I love how harsh they can get and the dynamics they bring to their sound.
Don’t know if this is classed as dream pop but 2 Australian bands, formed by various live members of tame impala, have some fantastic albums out. Check out the band POND and also check out GUM . These bands albums differ so much so discover yourself as the songs I linked may not be to your taste
My weekly Spotify discovery playlist clued me into a band called Marriages. Good stuff. It's kind of heavy, kind of dreampop, she kind of sounds like Chelsea Wolfe or Dolores O'Riordan. I'm digging it.
The new Slow Crush album 'Aurora' is unbelievable. Their vinyl is gorgeous too, can't wait to get it.

This is a bit of an older/obscure (at least in the US) discovery, but my Spotify Weekly has an absolutely amazing track called Forsvinne from a Norwegian artist that simply goes by Bendik. She does not sing in English, but like Sigur Rós it's not even an issue. Apple Music doesn't seem to have her music unfortunately. I'm hooked and need more of this in my life like right the fuck now.

Thanks for posting. Great song, starting on her discography now.
Finally got my hands on this masterpiece. Been looking for it for a while.

I loved Chairlift... I love her colab with Fisherspooner (overtly sexy as hell)...
I'm excited.
Canada represent. Love me some dreamy synth pop.
best shoegaze/dream pop album i've heard in a minute now. very in the spirit of Cranes:

Daysleepers fans! The Soft Attack EP is getting its first vinyl pressing, and Creation is getting a vinyl repress as well. Both are crowdfunded and limited to 200 copies.
https://qrates.com/projects/21061-the-soft-attack - sky blue; includes bonus track "Dream Within a Dream World"
https://qrates.com/projects/21060-creation - mars red
Somehow I missed out on the previous Creation pressing, and I don't have any vinyl from these guys either. I love this band.
Never heard of these guys, but I'm a big fan of most of the bands I've seen them compared to. Gonna check em out on spotify then decide if I want to grab the vinyl. How does qrates work? Like what happens if the goal isn't reached?
Edit: NM, I decided to just go for it anyway because I liked the album so much on first listen. Ended up getting this emailed to me: Your payment method will be charged when the project reaches its crowdfunding goal and the campaign period has finished. In the event that the crowdfunding goal isn’t reached, your payment method will not be charged and your order will be cancelled.

Awesome! I think their Hide Your Eyes and Soft Attack EPs are slightly better/more focused than their 2 LPs. They seem like kind of a mysterious band that only sporadically puts out releases, has little to no social media presence, and has rarely (if ever) performed live to my knowledge? I certainly hope both releases reach their goal, but not a ton of people seem to really know of them lol.
