On another note... I looked through a tumblr (https://24-24-1-482.tumblr.com/) that I believe belongs to FULLMETAL here on ETS, and discovered that it has some odds and ends on it (press releases, a few more press photos, etc.) that would be great for the site. You should send a PM and get permission to use some scans.

Middle one is legit I think - I've seen it included with the vinyl that it's advertising. The one of the left looks a bit iffy!

I'm thinking without any legal boilerplate or copyright date, these are unofficial postcards.

I am inclined to believe the same. They look cool, which is why I picked them up but I've always doubted the validity of their official release

I dunno, outside of the US, band promotion is sometimes a little less formal. Seems like a really weird thing to bootleg. Probably just someone at Island doing a run at the printers for things to hand off to record shops.

Maybe on the "weird thing to bootleg" but although I personally own those above, I've come across the below which seems to be butchered version of 1 and 2 from above.

So, the reason I am asking, what do you (the group) think on adding the 3 above to the catalog?

Now that I think about it, I think this Closer postcard is the one that I've seen included with the vinyl. Of course, the logo is not quite right, but Island didn't always get it right (see the logo on the MOTP CDs) so I wouldn't take that to show that it's unofficial.

On adding them to the catalog, I personally think it would be fine. Maybe just flag that their authenticity is - at worse - doubtful, or - at best - unconfirmed.

Okay so I have one of these, and seemingly it is legit - it has Island and TVT logos on the back, plus more info on the release itself, in the TDS font - it's like a mini version of the sheet which came with the UK promo vinyl. The presence of these details maybe casts further doubt on the other three postcards. I'll try and get a scan up tonight.

Figure this should get added. I can take better pics.

The 9” MotP single test pressed on 12” vinyl. Don’t see it on the catalog

https://imgur.com/a/qeVvR Has a few pics, let me know what you want for the catalog and I’ll provide it.

hey @joel , can you take pictures of front/back, sleeve and any relevant markings. Also, if there is a catalog number, what country it is from and any other notes you may have. You can email it to contact@nincatalog.com. Thanks!

Here's something I've not seen on the catalog - the promo sheet that came with the Capital G 12":

I've resized it so as to fit comfortably in this post. But here's a link for the full resolution version: https://imgur.com/J3q3h2U

I still have a few more of these to dig out and scan - HLAH, Broken, etc.

Here's a UK print advert for the Closer single as a reference to the middle postcard:

To Levi's point, someone at Island could have taken this to a print shop for a quick postcard run & omitted the company logos by accident (especially if the postcards were made after the 6th).

Another item that’ll need to be added to the catalog.

Got my hand on a TDS first print Japanese Promo. As with all Japanese promos, has the promo sticker on the back. Everything else is the same, but I can re-scan for better photos if you’d rather that for the site.

Do you have front and spine pictures? Also, any special markings on the CD?

Sending from mobile, so pics might show up big. Looks like there’s text on the inner ring of the CD as well.

I've resized these so they don't crush the thread, but full res versions here and here.
