John Dory was my fav character in FTWD and I stopped watching shortly before he was killed off. Really a bummer to see him go. Haven’t watched the series in a while, probably won’t watch it again. And the whole “Madison coming back” seems kind of like a cheap way to maintain viewers.

I hate Madison, too, and John was my favorite original (as in not Morgan or Dwight) FTWD character, too.
Edit: aside from Tyle...I mean, Nick. I related to that kid so damn much.

THAT BEING SAID, I'd highly suggest finishing S06 of Fear, because it's fucking badass, and we DO.get John Dorie SENIOR, played by...jesus...SOME famous actor. (Edit: Keith Carradine)

To be fair, if I'm not mistaken, Dillahunt WANTED off the show, though, so we can't really blame the writers for that one. I'd have wanted off after S05, too, TBH.

I hate to say this, but (especially because of the Madison bit), i hope the FTWD endgame is in sight, and that it ties into the movie perhaps?

I actually LIKE Strand. Well, mostly, I like Coleman Domingo.
But I like the character's moral ambiguity.

I thought his turn in 7A was a bit ridiculous, but that isn't the ACTOR'S fault.
It's just, it's a bit much. Like, he finds a costume from the US civil war or whatever and...this was the dude with the yacht?

I swear to god @Erneuert I think they had ghostwriters/showrunners for season 6, but they gave them a LITTLE more power back in season 7: THAT'S why episodes 7 and 8 were so good.

Just a theory.

But Season 5 was one of the worst TV seasons I've ever sat through, yet season 6 was, suddenly, pretty much on par with the main show.

It seem fishy, like different types of fish.

This fucking show, though...god, please don't let it get awful again.

We've already got the possibilities of the main show not sticking the landing, TWO.new spin offs that have the potential (cough TWB) to be bad, and a Rick movie or TV movie or whatever the fuck, that could ALSO suck.

Sure, all of these things could be wonderful, and everything could FINALLY properly converge into a stunning, dramatic crescendo, MCU style.

Conversely, this could also be the biggest disappointment in the history of fandom...we'd be talking about (fear, c/d, m/n, rick, tales) FIVE FUCKING PROJECTS in ONE year, that could possibly just undo the goddamn legacy of the whole thing.

"Tales" doesn't count. I need at LEAST half of the supposed other four things to be badass. I'm not asking for much.

I'm cautiously... vaguely kind of worried. I guess there's a TOUCH of guarded optimism. But yeah. No Hope, No Fear, right?
(one more thing: if Alicia suddenly gets better because she sees her mom again and THAT'S why she's been sick, I'm gonna lose my damn mind)
