I'm tentatively going to it, with my brother and a few of his friends.

Here's the trailer. Get a chance to see Lars look 5 feet tall.
In don't get it... Is it a concert or a movie? Or a documentary?
The way that interview is filmed is so pretentious!
Lars loooks so old.......Played with this band last month. They had a great shirt on their merch table with the following design.
Ye gods, that is cold.
The "not letting go of the Napster thing" is getting really pathetic.
I don't remember how, when or why I saw this awhile ago...but James incredibly cheesy back and forth with the crowd during "Enter Sandman" is hilarious.
Every now and then I'll start singing "LIKE A FAM-E-LEE! LIKE A FAM-E-LEE! METALLICA'S FAMILY!" to myself.
I don't even like Metallica so this is even funnier.
Lars Ulrich always rubbed me the wrong way. He has a superior attitude about himself and everything, meh. Off-putting considering his drumming is nothing remarkable. Yes, I know that interview was posted 3 months ago.
I actually like Death Magnetic
Load Reload and St Anger - NO
Kill Em all - Black album - most definately
I love this band, and the love just grows with time.
There was a time when I wasn't totally impressed with The Black Album and Justice but now I am really starting to appreciate the songs especially after seeing them live. Shortest Straw is a monster of a track when performed live.
I think Load is a good album, ReLoad on the other hand has too many fillers.
St. Anger could have been better, with better production and perhaps making the songs shorter. The single version of Some Kind of Monster was an improvement for sure by making it shorter and having a better mix.
I look forward to the new album though not expecting anything ground breaking, expecting it to just be a progression from stuff we heard off Death Magnetic and Beyond Magnetic.
I'd rank their albums as such
Ride the Lightning
Master of Puppets
Kill 'em All
...and Justice for All
Death Magnetic
Load
MetallicA
St. Anger
ReLoad
I really like Death Magnetic too. Think apart from Puppets and TBA, probably my favourite of theirs. Load and Relaod would have been a great single album in my opinion. Been a fan since the very start, bought Kill 'em All the week it came out, and remember being in a record shop in London (Shades, gone now sadly...) a month before RTL came out, and hearing it playing in the shop. Freaked out!
I've wondered about that too. Who knows how Cliff Burton would've ended up if he was still alive? Whoever made that shirt would probably say the same thing about Cliff Burton if he was still alive and found something to dislike/hate him over.

I stood by Lars and MetallicA throughout the whole Napster thing and Lars is still my fave member of the band.
But I cannot deny that I enjoyed these videos so much back in the day
Those videos always remind me of this one too.
Lars is an annoying little man, one of the few people on this planet I would hate to be stuck in a lift with, but his dedication and hard work for his band cant be faulted. No Lars, no Metallica, even today.
I imagine Lars has a special Lars-only diamond-encrusted elevator for every building he ever visits, so being stuck with him probably isn't something to worry about.
Just watched it. Pretty good use of 3D, especially the concert stuff. I can imagine that if this does good enough business more films like this will come along.
finally some new MetallicA!
Sounds like shit and not because of the quality. Lars drumming is shitastic as always. This band died after Newsted left. No disrespect to Trujillo, since he is talented.
I'm not a hater but then again, I never really liked this band anyways.
Man, his drumming does sound shitty in that video....
I long for the day Lars stops trying to be a drummer and tells the band to continue with Dave Lombardo.
Demo of Lords of Summer
another excellent medley of covers!
this is up on iTunes now
