I'm going to miss Mark
Dude had a low profile overlap with so many great bands. RIP.
his QOTSA period is one of my faves. the guitar + his voice was a perfect combo for rock and roll. i feel sad about his death similar to how i felt about cornell. like whoa, this person isn’t creating anymore and never will again. i’ll never experience him live again. i personally wish i didn’t feel these losses so much. I could barely listen to anything chris cornell for two years after he died tho i think that had to do with the circumstances of his death and the lyrical content.
No one directly close to me died but five people in my circles have checked out. (yes i count lanegan) so it’s been a weird week with death.
RIP Aussie cricketer Shane Warne. We’re all in shock down here.
Founding member of alt-rock band Sponge, Mike Cross has died at age 57. Too young.
Emilio Delgado, who played Luis on Sesame Street for 40 years, passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 81.
RIP Bobbie Nelson, Willie Nelson's sister & the piano player in his band for over 50 years.

nooooooooo ((
And again, fuck you very much, cancer.
This one cuts deep.
RIP William; thank you for the memories.
That’s sad. If any of you haven’t ever seen Mr Brooks, definitely check it out. It’s weird and great and Hurt is excellent in it.
Altered States was weirdly enough one of my favorite sci-fi movies when I was a pre-teen, it was smart and adult and the effects blew my mind. I revisited it a few years ago and it still did all of those things! Super sad about William's passing.
I don't think Marlee Matlin will be mourning all that much.
Rip
Kiss of the Spider Woman is one of my favorite movies.
William Hurt was also great in Alice, one of my favorite Woody Allen films.
Well, she did comment:https://variety.com/2022/film/news/m...on-1235204607/
I adore Marlee, she's an extraordinary woman and I believe her. She should have gone to the police when it happened too but as she explains, she was in a difficult place and could not do it. And it's only fair to notice that he never denied her account or publicly tried to shame her.
As for his movies: if you can find it, I would suggest a little movie called I Love You to Death, from 1990. It's a dark comedy and it's absolutely delightful.
RIP Taylor Hawkins. (wow!)
What the fuck!
Bloody hell.
RIP Taylor. Thanks for having shared your gift with us.
Shit, I missed this. I remember seeing videos of him a few years back showing how DDP had been helping him out, etc. I feared something like this would have happened and it did.
Was a huge WCW fan as a kid. Always did my best “hey yo!” Scott Hall impersonations. RIP
I think this was it.
So sad.
