Aww man…I got into them by way of Stan, i.e. Dido and her brother Rollo. Great music and vibe, shame he passed so young.

Damn, just... damn. This is on Robbie Williams' channel, but I love Maxi on this track. That 1 Giant Leap album is pretty damn good.

yep, it was my folks too. when I spend time with them, we still listen to their music. in fact, I'm seeing them Monday and put together a playlist a week or so ago, with the Scream on it, before Duffy's death.

John Neff, David Lynch's former engineer has reportedly passed away. This year has been awful for Lynch and Lynch fans.

That really sucks. The BlueBOB album is solid stuff. I wish more people had heard of it.

He actually responded to one of my posts on the Facebook lynchland group last week. This is hitting me as hard as Angelo, really appreciated him and had hoped maybe him and David would work together again once more.

But I'm OLDER than you right? I'm almost 43.

My mom was born in 58.

She turned ME on to Pearl Jam, when I was as eleven.

I THINK it goes back to my parents having a working band when I waa a kid.

A few years older. I just turned 37. My mom was born in 65. I grew up on things like Primal Scream, my folks were massive fans of The Cure, and yep, they bought the PHM cassette back in 89 and that's how the NIN fandom started in our family.

Rugerro Deodato, director of Cannibal Holocaust.

I've had really mixed feelings about that movie. On one hand it's one of the greatest horror movies ever made, it's an incredibly intense metaphor for colonialism and in a larger extent the vietnam war, and it's the holy grail of Grindhouse cinema.. but it does have that crazy animal torment/murder shit going on.

Still, he was a visionary, and the revolting shit aside, I still say Cannibal Holocaust was great cinema.

Well, then you just have cool parents, musically, like I do.

My mom pays for a Sirius XM subscription, ONLY to listen to Lithium: Nineties Alternative and Grunge. Between her and my wife insisting on that channel, ONLY, my favorite 90s songs are being ruined, one by one. I LIKE Jeremy and Alive, but I don't wanna hear them EVERY goddamn time I ride in the car with my fam! :P

@chuckrh I FEEL older than dirt.

Anytime I mention aging to my rheumatologist, he's like, "what AGING? You're forty two!" And he laughs.

So back on topic...this Pointer Sisters cover of Santa Claus is Coming to Town means SO much to me...
my family, before my parents divorced, before me and my brother stopped living together in bachelor pads, covering the furniture (and walls, when allowed) with graffiti, there were the four of us, in the eighties, driving around looking at Xmas lites, with this cassette bumping.

Rest in Power, Miss Anita. Thank you for all of it, but especially this one.
