^Fuck... that one stings.
Wow...'suddenly'. Not good. RIP.
I will not be at all surprised when it comes to light that whatever medications she was on to treat her severe back pain issues the last couple years played a role in her death. 46 is much too young. The Cranberries had to cancel most of their world tour last year because of that, but just last month she posted on FB that she was finally feeling better and did her first gig in some time at in industry event in NYC. Meh. RIP indeed
I have been taking a lot of medications for my back pain too. This was a wakeup call for me to tone it down. I didn't know her and I never met her, but she seemed like a sweet person.
I'm shocked. They were a good band. I always liked her voice. Fuck... this is like my teenage years being stripped away.

that's a bummer... I really liked the Earthsea books as a kid.
Jeremy Inkel from the bands Left Spine Down and Front Line Assembly among other projects has passed away due to complications with his asthma on Jan 13th, 2018. He was 34 years young.
RIP man!

I just came to post this. I didn't know if anyone here cared... Vancouver is where I live, where both these bands were based out of, and I am 34, same age as him. This is a little too close to home. I saw both of these bands on numerous occasions over the years here. This was very shocking... Life is way too short, it's kinda scary...
I had to correct my post because i mistakenly called them Last Spine Down instead of Left Spine Down. Freudian slip perhaps.
Yeah i was fortunate to see him perform with LSD a few times when i lived in Alberta and i got to meet him too! It's so totally out of nowhere that this happened, i didn't know he had such an ailment and that it become that bad. Truly awful!
Wow I hadn't even heard from Kaine or any of the other guys on Facebook, etc. though tbh he doesn't post much. Fucking sad... RIP
Now we know why, i kinda figured something like this might have been going on behind the scenes.

Mark E Smith has passed away
^ huge bummer. i've gone through several Fall obsessions over the years, though I haven't really listened to them much in recent years. fond memories of seeing The Fall in 2005 in NYC, waiting hours for them to come on stage with no openers, playing mostly new music for 50 minutes. On the final encore song, "New Big Prinz," Mark tossed the mic into the crowd and me and this other huge fan took turns singing the lyrics...
RIP Mark, thanks for everything.

Urgh this one hurts...been listening to The Fall for years, Mark E Smith was so one of a kind, he never stopped gigging or releasing music ever in 40 years, was always active. 35 albums. Such a big discography. So influential.
Saw the Fall live a few times last time was in 2006, been meaning to see them again. Fuck.
I would go on binges with his music about once a year for a few weeks. Loved listening to the more obscure albums.
Its not exactly suprising news, considering how much he drank im amazed he made it to 60 lol.
I knew he had been unwell recently, he had been in a wheelchair and totally incoherent at gigs in past year.
But yeah going to go on another fall binge this week probably.
Mark E Smith is a shock, G and I were shocked to discover that he was only 60, he looked far older and really feeble. As said, he’d been reported to be ill but nobody knew why.
We saw The Fall a few times, and one show is on our Top Five shows of All Time, at the Metro in Chicago, I think in around 2005, they didn’t go on stage until around 1 am, then Mark sat at a long conference table all night with various mics, holding them up in various directions, and sometimes getting up and walking around, but it was all TIGHT and MEZMERIZING and INTENSE and unforgettable.
RIP, Mark. You are a legend.

Damn, this sucks. RIP Reg Cathey.
You were the bomb in The Wire, Se7en, House of Cards....shit, pretty much everything.
Aw, damn. Only thing I've ever seen him in was Cards, but he was fucking fantastic in it. His final scene in the White House when he and Frank get into it? Damn.
