That sucks. @allegro have you seen this movie?
It's utterly fucking stunning, and one of my favorites. Have we talked about this before? I can't remember.

At any rate, it's available in full on youtube now. I would recommend it to all of you in fact.

“One can only guess why so many elites want to forget the Vietnam peace movement by history cleansing, why public memories have atrophied, and why there are few if any memorials to peace.”-Tom Hayden (from the article you linked)

    Sure enough.

I met Abby Hoffman once. It's like he had not evolved and was stuck in '68. Tom Hayden didn't do that , of course got shit for it, but come on - people grow.

He was allegedly so depressed about the country's apathy that it (plus his bipolar disorder) led to him committing suicide.

Ffffffuck. Ira Gaines is gone. I'm so sad that people will always call him "the guy who accidentally shot Brandon Lee". He was awesome even in his, like, ten-second appearance in Se7en.

Who else has NBK and by extension TR to thank for the introduction? Right here.

Listening to The Future now. Waiting For The Miracle always got me in the heart.

I'll need to go back through his catalogue.

I fucking love Leonard Cohen. I thank Trent for introducing me to his stuff w/ the NBK soundtrack and then leading to some of his earlier stuff such as this classic....

2016... another hero down. I still haven't listened to Cohen's new album all the way through. I was meaning to. Guess now's the time.
Every day this year I'm fucking crying. It's breaking me down. This is so horrible, and that's what I'm always saying it seems.

Yup, same. Waiting for the Miracle is an amazing opener. Blew me away the first time I heard it.

"Who By Fire" was always my favorite from him.

I had never really listened to much of his work before. But immediately it struck me how much he must have influenced Kevin McMahon. Particularly his Lucky Pierre stuff. Strange how much people can affect you without you ever even realizing it.
