I thought he had passed away just before CoVid. Bob got as close as he could to 100 without going over.

Conservative Activist ‘Joe The Plumber’ Dead at 49

In 2016, Wurzelbacher said he backed former President Donald Trump in an interview with Reuters, calling him a "winner."

Wurzelbacher was 49. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched for his family and has raised more than $130,000.
He backed a "winner" and also needs a crowdfunding campaign? par for the course, I guess.

Ask him about Trump's new health plan that's been pending for about-oh wait, you can't, he's dead.

    Damn. Jimmy Buffett at 76.

He damn sure had a vibe, and helped get a lot of dems elected.

So weird: I JUST watched a little YouTube documentary about him, 48 hours ago or so.

Damn, he was cool as hell. My father in law is a massive fan so a great memory was surprising him with fourth row floor seats the last time he came through here. Big loss. RIP

Apparently skin cancer and lymphoma, which is why he was hospitalized recently. Man, what a bummer.

I have very personal reasons to hate his music, but nothing against the guy. I hope he does... whatever... on a yacht

He's like the cool version of Ted Nugent

I just got put under facebook watch for saying "hey man you're an all star and you died"

I mean it was in bad taste I guess, but they gave me a flag for "bullying"

This is a "musician" who... oh wait... fuck this guy.

That’s actually quite sad. Fought alcoholism and had a 6 month old pass away from leukaemia. Sounds like he drank himself to death.

So Jimmy Buffett dies and you're like "fuck that guy," and then the poor bastard from Smashmouth.
    Goddamn, dude.

Come on friends, let's play nice here. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. No one is obligated to like every famous people out there.

Story time: my brother died in 2019, at 48, from a heart attack. At his funeral, no one made an eulogy. That's because he always said that when people were alive, you couldn't care less about them but the minute they died? They were saints, man; they had all the qualities in the world and boy are we going to miss them! Yeah, cynicism is strong in my family.

Personally, I loathe Madonna. I have my reasons. I won't cry when she dies. At all.

As for Buffet and Harwell, I don't have much of an opinion. I do like "All Star" though.

    May they rest in peace.

No I don't want a medal for anything actually. But I am also not into having a funeral for the Smash Mouth guy. I'm also not making a huge deal that I'm glad he's dead (I'm not, and it sounded like he had a bad death, in peace surrounded by loved ones) , I just don't feel like mourning.

And just to clarify there I didn't say fuck Jimmy Buffet. I just well, don't really care for his music.

But fuck Smash Mouth. It's not like anyone who loves Smash Mouth is gonna give a single fuck when I die. By the way, pretty sure 99.999% of the people sad about the guy don't know his name. They know him as "The Smash Mouth Guy" and they act like they really care

And that's fine, but don't sell me a eulogy.

Fair, but admittedly… it sounds like a shitty way to think/feel about things. Must be awful to be like that. Sorry, man.

Nah. I used to think like that, too. But I'm an old miser now. It gets boring looking at life through your own scar tissue, as it were.

Fu Shu Mang was one of the first CDs I ever got, Smashmouth was fun as hell. Steve had some obvious demons but he never ended up in the Sexual Assault in the news thread and he wasn't some MAGA chud so honestly I could care less about his private life. It's pretty lame people will be completely silent about a band or a person until the second they die then they put on their fedora and try to make the edgiest comment they can for internet points and thats coming from ME.
