Created in 2019, Christians Engaged is led by president Bunni Pounds, a former Republican congressional candidate who lost in a primary runoff for Texas' 5th District in 2018. Its vice president Traycce Bradford is the former president of both the Texas Eagle Forum and Dallas Eagle Forum, grassroots organizations that are "unashamedly pro-life and stand on strong conservative and morally-bound principles." Republican Rep. Michael Cloud is an advisory board member.

Fuckity-bye, Andrew Saul. You've been nothing but a pain in my ass and I do not forgive you for the telework ending (though happy you had to eat shit with the pandemic).
No words. Whatever happened to "Abortions for some, miniature American flags for everyone" ?

Wait a minute, the party of fiscal responsibility is offering 10k checks sight unseen? Where's that money going to come from?
I've read several articles about this and I'm still unclear as to who would be responsible for paying out the $10,000. I interpret it as the plaintiff is awarded $10,000 plus legal fees paid by the defendant....but then that's not a "bounty". The whole thing is sexist, racist, classist bullshit. Party of small government if you're a while male, everyone else gets punitive misery.
that's actually way worse! so not only are they forcing women to bring children - that they want nothing to do with! - into the world they also want to make her pay for all that extra stuff if she tries to have an abortion? Jesus.
Wow. Lawmakers and other proponents of these laws seem to forget all the different scenarios that can lead a woman to consider an abortion. I have relatives who were expecting this fall. Her water broke just shy of 5 months gestation. The doctor told her the baby would not survive if delivered, and she ran the risk of serious infection for herself and the baby if she tried to carry it long enough so the baby would be viable. Not to mention all of the health and developmental issues that can happen with a premature baby. So they weigh their options and decide to terminate. Insurance will take 15 days to approve coverage to terminate. They only have 13 days, because on day 14 the gestational age dictates that it is illegal to terminate a pregnancy based on state law. Their only option is to go to an abortion clinic. She knew there would be protestors, so she prepared by wearing earbuds and listening to music as the kind escorts took her inside. The expectant father was unable to be there, I’m assuming due to COVID restrictions. The procedure was performed. She asked for the sex of the baby and footprints to be made as a remembrance. This baby was wanted and they were left with this awful decision, only to be taunted by protestors who had no idea of their circumstances. I can’t imagine dealing with this bounty law on top of everything. How fucked up.
Of course this is just one of many scenarios that may lead to a woman’s choice. I haven’t read the exceptions of this particular law (if any), but this shit makes my blood boil.

This world is beyond repair.
A guy sues Nirvana because he was the baby on the album art for Nevermind. He claims it ruined his life and equates the photo to child porn. Nobody would have ever even known that he was the baby. it's impossible to recognize him as an adult.
when the judge tosses that lawsuit, i hope he has to Nirvana et al's court and lawyer fees. What a completely garbage lawsuit from a real piece of shit.
I'd known this guy was out and about doing press at various times as "the Nevermind baby all grows up" and whatever...good for him. And I can almost understand him feeling a bit slighted being on arguably the most famous album cover from the last 40 years and seeing no cash from it. But he's clearly embraced it up until now...he has the fucking album title tattooed on his chest (I just realized this yesterday)!
But this lawsuit...fuckin trash. Set aside nudity does not equal "porn" let alone "sexuality" I've read he is well beyond the limitations of these claims. I really hope there is a scathing dismissal forthcoming.
