(that means there are 13 songs on the album, maths people figured it out)

edit again: the weird thing is that there was a bandcamp link on the https://thesmile.ffm.to/ywnwita page but it's missing now. hmm.

    https://thesmile.bandcamp.com/releases

but it's a thing? I don't know what's going on with the marketing people.

Got the cream-coloured vinyl and the book today. Funnily enough I also got my shipping email today! How nice.

Why in the world did I also get a download of the song "If You Say The Word" on mp3 and wav? Is it somehow different than the one included?

Finally: This art book is not at all what I expected. It's more like a children's board book that has three slots for vinyls. I also had three extra sleeves that match the ones that are in the book. Should I have expected this? If they were somehow sturdier so that I could just put the book away and have something for the records that would be nice but they are exactly the same. It's very strange.

I'm still waiting for my cream vinyl and art book. I reached out to Sandbag (those motherfuckers) and they gave me a very helpful response saying, "when we have it, we'll ship it".

    So. That's good to know.

Finally received my "Scarry Book" version of Kid A mnesia (cream colored vinyl + art book). At first I was all "wtf is up with this board book for grown ups?" and then I thought back to the OG Kid A CD special edition and went, "ohhh, ok!" The vinyl sounds pretty great, which is good to know considering I've heard about a lot of quality issues with red 3LP version.

    Anybody else gotten theirs?

I just got an email with a "THE “SCARRY” BOOK (Art Book and 3 x Cream Vinyl) If You Say The Word.zip" download link. It is literally just the song If You Say The Word. I'm very confused.

Sandbag is running this shit parade, if I get my Radiohead stuff before Tapeworm comes out I’ll be shocked.

I guess they figured there was a high likelihood the seams of the inserts would split in shipping, so they packed extras just in case.

    I'm not sure if you ever got this sorted, but here's all 3 in .mp4 (video is H264 1920x1080 [4Mbps] @ 25fps; audio is variable AAC 192kbps @ 48kHz):

Thanks! I seem to remember the original (not on-demand) stream was 256kbps AAC constant, but this is I believe as good a rip as we'll likely have until an official release.

I dunno, AAC is silly. The maximum bit rate field is set:

    So, 4320s * 0.192Mbps = 829.44
    829.44 / 8 = 103.68Kbps
    295 - 103.68 = 191.32 kbps average bit rate

I just noticed that Radiohead's 2016 song Present Tense has striking similarities to the Air's 2004 song Mike Mills. I don't think that it is by accident.
Similar floaty bouncy vibe but the biggest thing is that there is a chord progression that appears in the middle of both that changes to a more contemplative longing vibe.

Pretty solid album. Definitely feels closer to Radiohead than it does to Thom's solo stuff, but it has enough of its own identity to stand on its own.

I still haven't listened to this album, i think their lengthy roll out killed it for me, i'm sure it's great but i have to find a proper time to dive in.

Can’t believe there isn’t more chatter about this anywhere I look. This album is incredible.
