Please....oh please.... let there be a vinyl preorder. Imagine what it'll be. $10 on the special edition being made of light or some shit.

Would love to see a Tool/Rammstein co-headline tour with both of their new albums coming out.

Kind of weird to think that the last time Tool put out a new album, Trent was touring With Teeth and The OC was the biggest show on TV.....Its been awhile

I hope this album doesn’t end on something the equivalent of Viginti Tres.

This is actually pretty great. Musician takes Adam's new riff and tosses in some drums, etc. to sort of flesh it out. (skip to 3:10 or so)

^ That is SUCH a massively misleading, click-bait title for that guy's YouTube video.

I know, but I HATE that kind of shit. People care more about getting views than being honest and not being a piece of shit.

So Tool are supposed to get on stage roughly 8:35 EST tomorrow. This has been a bit of a dick tease the past week so might as well speculate? Will be playing about 80 minutes according to the time slots posted.

Guess is finished version of Descending. Maybe one more new song to throw us for a loop.

Hopefully a new, updated production, but wouldn’t be surprised to see something completely different until the later part of the year (meaning fall US arena tour).

That’s all I have for the moment. Would be in JAX if they played a Saturday but they keep getting booked Sunday’s. Shoukd be interesting times- for better or worse- in about 24 hours.

So Maynard and friends usually go to such great lengths to prevents cell phone use and recording at their shows, and here they are going to (possibly) debut some never before heard music for the first time in 13 years live at a festival... what do they think is going to happen? Come Monday morning, the internet will be filled with less than sub-par half assed recordings of the new song(s) and you'll have to sift through 5000 recordings of "Sober" "vicarious" and "The Pot" to find them.

The sad thing is, I bet half the crowd there isn't even going to realize or appreciate the significance of what is about to happen. It's like when Trent busted out The Perfect Drug for the first time and half the audience had no idea how special the occasion really was.

If riot gear is retired, I wonder what costume we are going to get?

Looks like a bit of a rough start to the tour. Junior (lighting director) said the weather caused some downtime for the crew. Also some lighting got damaged. Weather caused tonights start time to be pushed back a bit:

I’ve been on the rail once for TOOL back in 2003 in my younger, foolish days. Also ruining some of the mystique was realizing I’d spent $80 to get my ribs crushed for 3 hours.

I was in the pit a couple rows back from rail for the 2002 Edmonton show, and I echo this statement. That pit was brutal.

Never been there, but can’t see (or hear) how a high production arena/festival show would be a good time up in front. Everyone always says the sound is shit as well.

Personally dont have the patience, or proper bowel movements, to make it a day event either. Would need a beer vendor velcroed to my butt.

Well, it's official – Descending has lyrics. Also, someone on Reddit claims that they played TWO new songs (I'm assuming that includes Descending)!!

Apparently the second ‘new song’ was just the same interlude that’s been around since like 2007.
