I know most of the fans aren't bitting their nails, but why don't release Physical Graffiti with "Presence", "In Through the out door" and "Coda"?
We know those albums will be the lowest selling of them, plus they can end the Discography already...
There's nothing on those other titles yet. Was Coda one of the titles promised to be released?
Not sure, but i would release it, it's not an "official studio album" but it always fits in their Discography, plus it's an excellent opportunity to release songs from their last concert on the second album...
I think he's said there won't be any more live material with these releases. My immediate guess is that Physical Graffiti will be released alone, and the other 2 (maybe 3) will be released all together shortly after.
By the way i meant their "last concert" with John Bonham not the one they did with Jason...
I think it's dumb not to release more live tracks, it was a perfect opportunity to fight "bootlegging" (something recurrent in Zepellin's career...), i like alternate takes but prefer live tracks over them...

Oddly the new cover looks better than the old one, need it ASAP!
Yeah, that looks beautiful. Really interested in this one! Any idea what's on the third disc?
But the cover doesn't have the little changing open windows, right?

it is indeed a great record, i wonder what will be the extras too...
They preserved the spinning disc cover for the remastered III, so I don't see why they wouldn't do that for this one.
This is apparently the tracklist for the bonus disc:
1. Brandy & Coke (Trampled Under Foot - Initial Rough Mix)
2. Sick Again (Early Version)
3. In My Time Of Dying (Initial Rough Mix)
4. Houses Of The Holy (Rough Mix With Overdubs)
5. Everybody Makes It Through (In The Light Early Version/In Transit)
6. Boogie With Stu (Sunset Sound Mix)
7. Driving Through Kashmir (Kashmir Rough Orchestra Mix)

Physical Graffiti is my favorite Zeppelin album. It's all over the place but every track is A+ There's never a dull moment. Swampy blues, folk, Eastern textures, some funk, and some good ol' rock n' roll. What more could you ask for from a Led Zeppelin album? That was their peak.
I dunno, I'm still a House of the Holy and ZoSo girl, personally. No offense, but I still think PG has filler, I get bored with a lot of it.
I find I really have to be in the right mood to enjoy disc 2 but I'll never tire of disc 1.
Presence
In Through The Out Door
Coda
I'm glad they are releasing CODA, with 2 bonus discs no less!
Surprised no one created a Zeppelin thread yet.
I finally got around to buying the remasters (LZ1 though Physical Graffiti, the last three are due at the end of July) and they sound fantastic. I thought that the 1993 CDs sounded good, and they do, but these new remasters are worth buying. Everything is so crisp and you can really make out the individual instruments; the separation of the vocals, drums, bass and guitar sounds really clear and just awesome.
It's been a while since I listened to these albums. Led Zeppelin are one of the regular "go-to" bands, like Sabbath, The Beatles, Van Halen, KISS, Hendrix, The Velvet Underground, Bowie, The Doors, etc., but it's been fun re-exploring their catalog. Like The Beatles, you can never give Zeppelin too much praise. They're just that good.
I also picked up How the West Was Won this week. It came out 12 years ago and I never bought it until now, have no idea why. It's one of the best live albums that I've ever heard.
I'm seeing Robert Plant this fall, so in preparation I am exploring his solo catalog. I love Lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar and am listening to his first album Pictures at Eleven right now. It's not amazing, but pretty good, IMHO. Going to listen to some of the rest this weekend.

Listened to the Coverdale/Page album for the first time, ever, despite it being released 23 years ago. Not a classic, but a very good disc. Kind of what I was expecting--Whitesnake meets Led Zeppelin, 70's rock with an 80's flair.
Robert Plant hated that Coverdale/Page project as he had some serious issues with David Coverdale and was hoping that record flopped. It was Jimmy's way to get Plant to work with him again. Plant should've done more to convince Jimmy to not do that awful project he did with Doody Poo.
Well, compared to some of the crap released today these records don't sound so bad in the end.... It seems like these two missed so many opportunities to work together, it's a pity really, it didn't need to be LZ but they could have left us a much broader legacy beyond LZ.
