First time I’ve heard this (extremely powerful) version of New Dawn Fades live. That “watching it fade away” refrain at the end not sung on Unknown Pleasures is heavy.

Peter Hook is great Live. New Order is boring AF now.

I have zero interest in watching a NO gig if Hook isn't in the Band at this point. Even less interest in a new album from them...

Holy shit! That's amazing and almost creepy!

One time I found a Pearl Jam tribute band on YT called Black Circle and the guy NAILS early Eddie Vedder so well.

I just had another thought about this... Peter Hook & The Light need to record versions of "Ceremony" and "In A Lonely Place" with this guy. Wouldn't that be simply amazeballs?

So, all this time we were under the impression that zero video footage exists of Ian talking (only performance footage existed, presumably), and you could only hear him speak in audio interviews.

Just found this. Video footage of him talking with the audio removed. It’s out there, at least we know that:

Start The Week With… New Order’s Stephen Morris

    https://thenewcue.substack.com/p/the...m_medium=email

It’s been nearly eight years since the last New Order album, Music Complete, came out. Might we get another one soon?
We never make plans. We never really have made plans. I mean, when we did Low-Life we weren’t planning, ‘Oh, this is gonna be the next album...’ We were just doing a lot. Nowadays, we’re a bit more professional about it. So the ideas need to have reached a certain standard before it’s deemed worthy of pushing it on an audience. But yeah, we’re thinking about it.

Music Complete was your tenth album and it’s probably one of my favourite New Order records.
Yeah, that’s another thing that makes it difficult. Music Complete was actually quite easy to do and it was really good. So it’s kind of like, Now we’re gonna have to really try... We set the bar a bit too high with that one!

I started a deep dive into the discography this week. I've missed out on SO much that I feel ashamed of myself. Get Ready and Republic alone are just wonderful.

I’ve always wanted to own a copy of “The Limited Run..” of Republic. There are 2 versions of it. I’ve wanted the one where the booklet itself is printed on rubber-like vinyl material resembling the life raft on the original album art.

    Other version:

    Version I want:

Holy shite, I remember those! That was one of the "I will always remember seeing that case at HMV," but never really look at what it was. Haha.

Waiting for the Sirens' Call is so cheesy poppy, and I love it. Now to start at the start.

    Condolences, sorry to hear that.

They’ve done Close Range live and live debuted Shake It Up from Lost Sirens.
