I’ve always wondered why they dropped the ”the” from that era’s logo and just had it as “Cure”.

That’s another topic in itself, too. Do you prefer bands like NIN that keep the same logo for their entire career? Or prefer bands like The Cure or especially Depeche Mode who changed their font/band name design with every single album release?

I think it's just the aesthetic of the same "c" character being used to make up all the other letters in the word, that having "the" just wouldn't look right. It is a little strange that it's the only time they've ever dropped that word.

That's an interesting question to think about. I tend to like separating new projects/albums with a fresh new look, but there's something to be said for consistency. Funny enough the Cure used the classic drop C logo (that they recently revived) for the first few years and then suddenly stopped at Pornography. In that sense, it's almost kind of a shame that they didn't stick with it. Speaking of NIN, I wonder if Gary Talpas is still getting royalties from that classic logo, or if maybe Trent made the best investment of his life by just doing a one-time commission fee type of thing lol.

Who knows. I hate how we always get announcements from RS and then nothing happens. Happened with the sequel to 4:13 Dream in 2014, plus the Reflections DVD release, the Wish remaster, and most recently, having 3 albums planned to come out. Come on!

I don't ever believe a single word out of Robert's mouth, and haven't done for years. You just have to be pleasantly surprised when something actually comes to fruition.

“No, there is a second album that accompanies the ‘4:13 Dream’ album, which I was trying to get ready for the 10th anniversary last year, but I never managed it because things got in the way. But it’s virtually done. It’s another 13 songs that were left over from the sessions. That will come out, probably for its 13th anniversary, because that seems obvious. Those were two of the leftover songs. Although I do really like them and we did discuss re-recording them with this line-up, everyone agreed that we’d rather just do songs that we’d written with this line-up. They’re both on the DVD, although I got one of the lines wrong in ‘It Can Never Be The Same’, which really pissed me off, but there we are.”
