After @ninlive directed me to the Afterlife Voyage 020, I've gone back down the electronic wormhole that is great for my working at home.
This is probably one of my most favorite albums - Stephan Bodzin Powers of Ten. I got to dance to this live in 2016. Unbelievable.
Damn.. Don't remember talking about that. I love everything from Afterlife pretty much. Been following Tale of Us from the days when they were the opening day sets at Detroit's Movement Fest. Those were the times.
Love that Bodzin remix pack from that album. This track always brings me back to that time when I saw Sasha at Output and he is just belting this at like 4am.
Y'all think I am a huge NIN fan... My electronic music collection is just stupid. lol
Incredible. Play loudly.
An IEM matrix tape of Bowie from the Reality tour in Minneapolis. Fantastic!
I have a playlist I've been adding to periodically since quarantine started. If anyone's interested and uses Google Music, here it is: https://play.google.com/music/playli...hI0BNp-Q%3D%3D

i made a playlist based on the first 40 records i listened to since shelter-in-place started!
great minds and all that
This is a nice treat from Wes Borland. Five of those demos were unreleased until now. Is there actually anyone from the old Eat the Day board on here? I still remember some of it fondly and of course chatting with Wes and his brother back in the day:

This is actually the Unkle remix, labeled as DJ Shadow:
haven't listened to this with headphones on in a long time. Some fun little bits of stereo separation I've separation.
I was reading somewhere - could be here, could be another message board - in a Fiona Apple thread about how Apple of Sodom from the Lost Highway soundtrack was written by him about her. and also that there was a video but it was so graphic they never released it until they uploaded it to YouTube.
I hope that's it. the network here being bogged down means watching a video movies it to a stuttering mess so I can't watch it and listen at the same time; Weirdly it's fine if I scroll the video off the screen.
and apparently there's a version he did with Rasputina, since it just came up in the recommended videos. it's...different. but listening to it it's not as good. maybe it's because it's a first listen and it's not as meaty as the OG version. It's missing something and seems more drony. Could also be because it's a live recording, something I didn't know until the end when the crowd comes in.
Even if you don't fuck with hardcore, watch this video, and actually watch it. Part. the beginning and the last minute or so. So happy for these guys. Their long, really tough comeback journey from near death has been incredible to witness. Inspiring stuff for any music fan.
And yes I realize the screencap is unfortunate. Move past it haha.
