Here is one for you grieving George Michael fans, I always liked this song and the video. The video was an excellent showcase of Michaels sense of style, great vocals on the track. I believe it has a sample from Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots" but the fucking baseline is fierce.

I fucking love that song. George is someone that really has soul. He knows how to do soul and R&B music. I recently discovered one of the songs he did as part of Wham! which is a cover of Was (Not Was)' "Where Did Your Heart Go?" as I heard the original which is good but what George did is just incredible.

george michael, "praying for time". i remember writing down the lyrics in middle school and listening along.

    "and it's hard to love
    there's so much to hate
    hanging onto hope
when there is no hope to speak of
    and the wounded skies above
    say it's much too late
    maybe we should all
    be praying for time"

    so brilliant. he's so missed.

Yesterday on the radio, I heard the track Lullaby for Klaus, by Thor & Friends. Thor being Thor Harris of Swans.

David Bowie - Blackstar. This has to be one of the most emotional songs ever for me. Whenever I listen to it, it's like going 5 rounds with every sad thing you've ever done or thought of. I miss Bowie so much.

I know this is fake but.... this is just too good to pass up. After all, it's in tribute to 2 icons we love and it's their birthday. Happy B-day King and Ziggy
