lots of Oingo Boingo to get into the Halloween spirit! watching my wife sing/dance along is bringing me such joy.
Halloween III soundtrack, a dark electronic masterpiece.
i'm super depressed today. no specific reason, just because.
unbreakable by janet jackson is helping kind of.
I a fit of nostalgia I have gone back to the millennial tunes from my formative years.
One of the most mind-blowing rap artists working today. Free mixtape! http://www.datpiff.com/Snow-Tha-Prod...pe.719522.html
This song and music video is just fantastic.
Probably my favorite Radiohead song.
Of All time.
I expected myself to dislike The Day is My Enemy and held off of it for months, but a friend put the title track on YouTube the other day and it got stuck in my head ("theeedayyyismyyyyyenemyyyyiiiiieeeeeeee"), so I had to check it out. Halfway through it as I type this and I'm enjoying the hell out of this. I like how the drum beats actually sound more subdued and retro, as opposed to the "please, make us relevant again" noisy drums on Invaders Must Die.

Quite dug Synthality, a collection of covers of music from the first three Mortal Kombat games in 80's style synth music. The artists make their own re-interpretations, like the stuff one can find on Overclocked Remix. And I love that they avoided the overdone "MAWWTAAAL KAWWWMBAAAAT" techno-thing and instead picked music that actually appeared in the games. Dan Forden is probably my favorite videogame composer ever. And he's a NIN fan, too.

he taught a class at flashpoint when i was going there. it was literally the only class where i actually learned anything new (it was all about actually integrating sound into games) and it was a ton of fun. he's a really cool guy. he also lives nearby me so i've run into him randomly a few times. really wish i had been able to work with him more.

I have been listening to Ghost all week since I saw them on Sunday. I think I could cover for Papa Emeritus if asked now...
