Hello all, I am new to ets! Years ago, (around the release of With Teeth) there was a song called The last Inch that I downloaded. It was labeled as a Nine Inch nails song. I was wondering if anyone has heard it, and knows anything about it? It's an instrumental, and definitely sounds like Trent's work. I tried looking it up, but there is absolutely nothing online about it. Thanks!

Rewatching bits of AATCHB tonight and found myself wondering what the tour actually sounded like live. Is there any general consensus about what the best audience recording is from that tour? Not really concerned about set list or anything interesting; purely interested in it from an audio quality standpoint. Is there anything on NINLive that really stands out?

i can tell you that, even though i saw the show i saw at UIC pavillion (the second-worst venue in the chicagoland area, next to tinley park), it sounded fantastic. granted, i was 13, it was my first NIN show, and i probably have slightly rose-tinted memories, it was really phenomenal. i don't know if an audience bootleg is gonna give you a good idea of what it REALLY sounded like.

snare double hit is on the 8 (and the following AND beat), kick is on the 1. similar to the beat of "banged and blown through"

THe more I think about this the more I'm not sure. Each measure and new elements are introduced on the double snare hit that sounds like it is on the 8.

I started listening to that song counting 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2 from the double snare.Someone needs to call Trent.

Does anyone have any insider info/gossip about the ending of the professional relationship between TR and Kevin McMahon? I've only heard whispers and rumors.

I mean with the Vivendi/Seagram merger Nothing ended up reduced to NIN and Manson, but I've always felt like there's a story with what happened to Prick.

so i was talking to a friend and he mentioned something about a falling out Trent had with APC during the Fragility tour.
is this true? i was not aware of this and well things are different now but am curious as to what happened (if anything?).

Not on that tour, I don't think, but sometime in 2001 APC started playing "Vacant" on stage (which apparently started life as a Tapeworm collaboration), and TR made some snippy comment about wishing they'd had a chance to "fully realize" the song before it was aired in public. Of course, Tapeworm was killed and APC finished the song themselves (as "Passive" on eMOTIVe​) some years later with Reznor's blessing.

Presumably, TR intends them to have separate intentions. Like TEOD and COA.
