If there's been no OFFICIAL word on the thing, I say hold off. There's literally no reason to jump on it now other than "because I want it."

I doubt it. He said the EPs in the trilogy will be released 6-8 months apart, so it's almost time for the second of the trilogy. A separate EP release at the same time wouldn't make any sense.

EP #2 will come with a metaphysical component - you receive nothing, but are expected to contemplate its nature as though it did, in fact, exist.

EP #3 will include an astrophysical component - you open the box and get sucked into a black hole.
