I booked my room back in September. Turns out they will price match if the black friday deal is cheaper! Call them up if you booked your room recently.

Oh!! Fuuuck... I forgot about those. Urgh... My package said it excluded resort fees that would be nightly fees applied upon check-in. Dammit.... Just when I thought this trip was paid for, more money to go on the credit card! Yay... whoever said Vegas was a cheap travel destination was mistaken. Between the prices of drinks and the resort fees, not really worth it in the grand scheme of things.

I have one GA Floor ticket for each of Friday and Saturday nights that I need to get rid of. Asking $75 each (face value is $73.80. I'll eat the $33/ticket in fees/taxes).

Aww. If you gamble at all, make sure you use your player’ card and see what they can deduct or reimburse from your total at the end of your trip. I’m usually able to have resort fees waived at MGM properties. Haven’t tried it at HR yet.

We're kind of lame, and my main attraction is Walmart believe it or not. Just because we want to stock up on American snacks that we can't get at home, lol.
One of the best things about going to the states is a trip to a grocery store, as lame as that sounds. Hahahaha... oh my.
We might also hit up some swap meets/flea markets because... well, I'm into old retro junk, and the swap meets in the states are sooooo much better than the ones in Canada. I also need new boots, so I'm going to hunt for those while down there.
And, we have tickets for Tapeface on Thursday. I think we'll be good. Do a little Christmas shopping for things you can't get up here on Thursday, Tapeface in the evening, Spend all day waiting in a NIN line like a chump on Friday. Hit up the swap meets on Saturday, go to a buffet dinner and head back for NIN round 2.
Might also squeeze in the pinball hall of fame (1610 E Tropicana Ave) Huge arcade (not just pinball machines, but classic 80s and 90s arcade cabinets). It's not too far from HRH, I stumbled across it last time I was there.
Weather seems like it's going to be pretty shitty though. Highs of 13-16C and lows between 2-6C (yikes!)
If Trent wore his winter jacket in 23 degrees in Mexico city, I wonder what he'll be wearing here! (In that interview they did, they all dressed like they were in Antarctica... and they were in Mexico!!)

Sounds like you got plenty on your agenda then. We're going to apparently doing some Xmas shopping too. My buddy Joe is gonna meet up with us too as he has to travel to LA for work shortly after, so he's coming to Vegas a little early for the first NIN show. Saw Pearl Jam with him in Germany this summer. Last time he saw NIN was with me in Philly in 2006.

I always try and beg my friends to come on vacation with us, they never do. Pfft.
Sad thing is, 2 guys here are just as obsessed with NIN as I am. One has a bloody NIN tattoo on the back of his neck and he refuses to come down for the shows.
All they ever say when I bring it up is "Trent needs to come to Vancouver" and this is a guy who went to Fresno/Reno/Davis talking.... He's agreed these are the best setlists ever, but he refuses to come down. Not sure where the logic in that is. It's a head scratcher.
Anyway, he's in a REAL treat if the last time he saw NIN was in 2006.

Going anywhere in the US is a treat for my wife and I (we are also from Canada), so even though we are not big on gambling or drinking we rented a car and are going to hit up a bunch of American stores and enjoy some chill time at the hotel away from the snow and cold weather. Vegas isn't our favorite US destination, but it was cheaper than New Orleans which I'm told would have been hell to travel to on Thanksgiving (the busiest day at the airport of the year apparently). This trip is all about NIN, so seeing them at The Joint (which everybody loves for concerts) is going to be pretty special.

The ironic thing about this is, I had my music on shuffle last night and I've been trying to skip NIN lately when it comes on so I don't get sick of it before the shows (not like that's a thing... getting sick of NIN), and this very song came on and I let it play though because I said to myself "This song won't ever be played live. So, I'll listen to this one today"
