I cant really stomach these guys anymore, however...

I saw them open for Rammstein during the Sehnsucht tour, along with Soulfly. This was back in 98 or 99, so the height of nu metal. Man, the crowd was vicious to them! hecklers galore, throwing stuff on sttage, ect. I dint mind em, and picked up the Tight album when i had the chance. I always loved the picture on the disc, the guy with the accordian and the "strictly for the hardcore niggazzz".

Theres my .02 on this band. slim to none chance ill ever have anything to say about em again.

It's very teenagery, limited but fun. They are very good live. One of the few bands that kids like which I don't find really irritating or disheartening. Frankenstein Girls & You'll Rebel to Anything are probably the best. The former is the definitive MSI sound and the latter is a very nice black album style mainstreamlining of their sound

I have to say I'm absolutely amazed they raised that cash, consider hat eaten

Fun album, definitely a step up from If. I was very far from the 14 year-old demographic they went for with that album... (my opinionz)

Frankenstein Girls is definitely my favourite, but I do enjoy most of You'll Rebel to Anything as well. Was unaware Tight got re-issued; that new wave version of Bring the Pain is pretty hilarious and awesome.

While my latest camcorder's broken and I'm still trying to figure out how to unfuck the A/V-synch issues with my latest recordings on my new HD gear, I've taken the opportunity to finally upload some old stuff I never got around to for whatever reason...like my old-ass bootleg of The Pop Culture Suicides over in the Manson thread as of a week ago or so.

That one had some relatively rough audio since my camcorder at the time had a broken Mic In port restricting me from using my external mic and forcing me to rely upon the crappy built-ins. Bleh. Still listenable enough, though. Certainly for a bootleg.

This one's in kind of the same boat since it was from the same time period. Still good, just a li'l rougher than my usual stuff.

Anyway, here it is, M.S.I. live in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN at First Avenue sometime in the end of March '08.

Any help with the exact date or setlist would be greatly appreciated!

Next up, Saul Williams and more NIN/JA-era NIN.

    :)

Saw them the other night, good show. But too much is on tape. Sometimes it sounds like they're just playing the CD. A little bit more live playing would improve the show.

You sure it wasn't 2009? Because this is the only thing I could find for Minneapolis in a March and the setlist seems right. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/mindle...-63d7fa9f.html

Oh, daaaaamn. You're TOTALLY right, thanks!

    Haha, my bad.

I guess my camcorder was broken a LITTLE longer than I remembered, lol.

Now that you mention it, the fact occurs to me that it got broken in Feb. of '08 and I tried for MONTHS to get Best Buy to honor my product replacement insurance plan on it before I finally gave up and just bought a new one...because the NIN/JA tour was about to start.

    D'oh!

Hindsight is 20/20 and all that...

@eversonpoe Thanks for the info. I did not, but I did discover Rip Off studio version is a bonus track to Alienating Our Audience on iTunes and got the other bonus track through someone. I had no clue Rip Off had been up there this whole times. Sucks it's iTunes lossy quality though. I've been hoping they would put these songs up on their Bandcamp one day cuz i'd love lossless digital. Sadly, I do not have a record player.

Hopefully we get a Pink 1990-1997 sequel... Two In The Pink 1998-2005 with unreleased material from this era. I'd pay for that. We never got the other part of Brooklyn Hype that they played live.

That and "Problematic" are my two favorite tracks. "Yes! I kiss your mama with this mouth!" is now one of my favorite diss phrases of all time.

Went to a small pub concert years back.

Unfortunately I didn't REALLY see them because when the precursor bands were on, I drank way too fast and popped my leg from jumping up and down too much.

alas I have to mention the awesome kid who helped me up and got security to take me somewhere out of the crowd, within two minutes of waiting for an ambulance I got to see MSI from the sec room, even the friendly sec was bummed out for me, they let me watch on the camera, I saw the main frontmans legs and feet! ha ha...if that even means anything. (I did HEAR them though, great songs)

I was off outings for 2 or so weeks.

Guess next time I gotta stop my mindless self neglecting :P

I remember seeing them many years ago in Irving Plaza in NY. Venue is small, the place was packed and everyone was going crazy jumping on top of each other. I even got slapped in the face, haha.
