Till looks a lot different in this one.
Till looks a lot different in this one.
Hmmm.. as disturbing as the Knebel video is, the original one from the stage play is pretty... yeah:
Also:
Love the female backing vocals in Wer Weiß das Schon.
We really need all those stage visuals/videos to be released on an extra deluxe version of F & M...
btw, I didn't know this version existed:

I'm late to the party on this, but does anyone have decent recordings (audio) of the songs from Hänsel & Gretel?
I’ve only been able to find YouTube clips. I’m sure proper audio recordings exist somewhere between traders. You can see the differences between the stage versions here. Some have extra or less verses and such.

Platz Eins video incoming!!!

Well that was... Interesting... Like most of the videos lol
I love this song! Awesome performance!
Full show:
edit: OMG LOL at that transition between Praise Abort and Platz Eins with Till criticising and slapping the ass of that woman while she tries to read the words/lyrics to Wer Weis Das Schon. I love his sense of humour - can’t imagine what it’s like hanging out with him for a day.

Very good audio on this one.
If anyone finds a good recording of Home Sweet Home please post it.
Lindemann live looks really fun. These shows, and the setlist is really good!
My only gripe is Till cut his hair. Looks better with longer hair.
Oh well. Short haired Till for my R+ show in a couple months.
Fairly on-the-nose fan video:
That was a very meh porn.
What’s the link to the uncensored version of Till The End?
So today is the day. Lindemann live for me, but my anticipation is a tad limited right now.
I really don't know what to think of all of this. The "Platz Eins" video is quite disgusting and pretty much the lowest Till or Rammstein have gone in my books. Now I see that some of these videos are connected and form a bigger picture about the inner workings of Till and I get that artistic vision. I just can't seem to help myself... I don't enjoy it. It serves little artistic value imho and the way Till and Zoran (one of the better R+ directors) choose to do it, doesn't resonate well with me. I'm missing style here, yet style is also a matter of taste, but I would have preferred to make this more sublte yet deeper without being so on the nose. Maybe if R+ was more about music than being a business these days, I'd reconsider my stance, but they KNOW that alot of people will swallow this whole one way or another because it's rough sex. Because it's edgy. Because it's "wow, what a lunatic! This is crazy! Sex? Whooo!" for more people than for those that try to get a bigger picture (Till's poems included).
Looking forward to the show though and to put all of this into more context. I've been watching Till for a looong time now and I have great respect for him, especially as a private person as much as you can get to see that without knowing him personally. He's deep and Till Lindemann is definitely more than just Rammstein. I just don't know if I want to see him exploit it in such a crude and brute way.
On the other hand I need to do some research on why he paints his face like he does in the video. It reminds me a lot of "Mephisto" from Faust or Klaus Mann. Maybe there's another connection there. Turmoiled artist vs narcissistic rockstar. I just don't want Till to turn into the German Marilyn Manson...
On a lighter note: "Blut" should have have been on a Rammstein record and I saw Aesthetic Perfection live yesterday doing a small club show before tonight's support slot. Safe to say that I really don't like their music, but Joe Letz is a nice guy and a fun drummer to watch! "Jadu" the first support is also very interesting and ultimately a very cool lady.

Some interesting stuff being discussed on reddit:
The F & M videos as a whole concept: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lindemann/c...m_source=share
Till now getting a tattoo? - https://www.reddit.com/r/Lindemann/c...ompletely_off/
Definitely give this one a read. Story of a woman getting backstage access/after party access and describes her opinion of Till as ultimately a lonely person - https://www.reddit.com/r/Lindemann/c...s_really_like/
I went to visit-x.net and it looks like you have to pay to see the uncensored video of Till The End?
Also, this video of Till getting sucked off by two groupies is played at the end of the shows. It was supposedly recorded during a Rammstein show under the stage: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lindemann/c...indemann_show/
The personal account while a little boring is still the most interesting part about the discussion as it is in fact true. Till has and will always be a rather shy and introverted man who loves the outdoors and days with the family more than anything. The stage persona is a totally different animal and if you look closely you will see that Till rarely looks a person in the eye, not in real life and rarely onstage (seriously, take a look! His glaze is always above everybody's head).
So with this in mind, the whole arc of this "story" makes sense and it's probably his way to cope with the dualisim inside of him. Loud rockstar vs quiet familyman. The only puzzle-piece that doesn't really fit is that backstage scene that according to Zoran Bihac is real and wasn't known to the band. I have a hard time believing this was actually filmed and not staged though. On the other hand... what is Till doing during the "Deutschland" remix?
What I don't like about this, is in fact a matter of taste and comes down to me not finding his behaviour and looks very appropriate for a 57-year-old humble and intelligent man. It draws the attention of foolish people easily entertained by harsh images and a sense of "over the line" e.g. porn. Dicks and tits get tiresome really quickly as well as the whole over-sexualization in general today.
Let's see what I think of all of it after tonight's show. And let's see how that will intefere with my expecations for the Rammstein show (my 6th) in July.

Midlife crisis?
A little late, huh?
Ultimately I can't see into the man's mind, but it strikes me that over the last couple of year's he's done everything to destroy the image of a mysterious poetic industrial-dance-music god from Germany to an elderly creepy man lusting for everything in his path. And aren't we on a message board in honor of a man who does the exact opposite? Getting more and more serious, sytlisch and comfortable by the looks of it.
In my opinion Till is capable of much more and I'ld love to see him find a happy place artistically as well. Emigrate is obiosuly a poject where Richard can play out his chops and get together with musicians he likes. In the best sense of the word, he's indeed emigrating. I still don't know what Lindemann is about, honestly. Belting out your most childish and kinky sexual thoughts? No filter, just throwing it out there? Or is he indeed trying to tell us much more?
There's so much heartfelt and genuine stuff about this man to read and see out there that this seems like the evil twin version of Till. His second face. Of course I'm not as naive and I know for sure what's happening behind closed doors at rock cocnerts and backstage. Barely anyone is a true angel in this business, yet it seems odd that Till is all of a sudden and after all these years trying to let us know he's fighting two souls in his chest in the most simple fashion.
I kind of agree with @dlb here. Till's antics of recently have rubbed me the wrong way.
I already started to notice it a few videos back. Platz Eins kind of took it to a whole new level.
I mean, I like sex and pornographic images as much as the next person, but I don't feel like they belong in a music video.
His antics have been concerning to say the least. He's defiantly been going through some kind of personality disorder or midlife crisis for a while now.
He started getting all these facial piercings in his late 40s/early 50s. Usually it's the opposite for people. They get tattoos and piercings and have crazy hair when they are younger, but he seems to be treading the opposite way. Even David Draiman from Disturbed took his signature chin piercings out a few years ago stating "It just felt kind of weird walking around like a 45-year-old Hot Topic kid"

It's hard to separate the man from the music these days in a world where everything you say and do can have negative consequences on your career as an entertainer, but if you enjoy the music, just try and leave it at that and don't get all caught up in the off stage persona of your favorite musician. Easier said then done I guess. I don't know Till personally, but I would imagine him to not be a wife beater/womanizer/rapist type of person outside of his art. I agree that the imagery recently is a tad too extreme.
Rammstein has never been a band to shy away from controversy though, so it's nothing new. Just seems like he's at the point where he doesn't give a fuck anymore. He's truly achieved "old man status" flinging his penis around in videos and fucking groupies in-between sets. He's just playing the rockstar role I guess. I just wonder what his family and kids think of all this?
I think it's just the product of 2 childish men that got together to have some goofy fun. I don't think this project was ever meant to be taken seriously. I know, I for one couldn't stand Skills In Pills at first. It's because I took it too serious. I hated the lyrics and themes throughout the record. I thought they were crass and immature and just really offputting. Once I put my guard down and just learned to have fun with it, that's when I truly enjoyed it for what it was. Just 2 guys having fun.
Meh, at the end of the day... just go to the show for the music and stage show, it'll still be a fun show, despite what goes on behind closed doors, or in this case... while the camera is rolling haha.
As for Aesthetic Perfection, not for everyone, especially if you are more into harder/heavier music. I personally love them. They're like a poppier sound, but... super fun to dance to! Saw them last October headlining and they were fantastic. Looking forward to seeing them again at WGT later this year.

Thanks for your reply @ManBurning !
Well, that was a show to say the least! Did I love it? Absolutely no! Did it make me laugh in places? Hell yes! I had fun, but was concerned here and there and I will write that down later. I definiely understand all of it a tad more than I did yesterday, but I don't have the best feeling about it.
Oh and I met Joe again yesterday. Chill dude, would love to hang out more actually. I asked him to convince Richard to go and tour with Emigrate. His answer? "I wish we would!"
I agree, the whole sex/porno thing is a little too much. It's like all of Manson's videos - like, really, another sex scene?? Can't come up with anything else "shocking"?
