I think it's pretty great, so far I like it a lot. Especially the bits with Tobaccos sounds oozing out of my speakers. Sword box, 1+1=13, and Purple moss in particular. I hope they do a tour together, I think the energy would be amazing

I'm late to the party... This Malibu Ken record kicks ass, it's been a long time since I put on a record to hear it the first time and listened to it 4 times straight through.

Acid King and Sword Box and Suicide Big Gulp are so good. I love the sound of this record, it doesn't feel like it was mastered like most modern records, there is a certain uneasiness about the whole thing.

I love Aesop Rock too, IDK how I missed this!

i actually like "centaur skin" way more. trent's voice doesn't really become recognizable as trent until the last few seconds of "babysitter" so it doesn't seem that special to me. but "centaur skin" is absolutely gorgeous.

p.s. album is up for pre-order on the ghostly website: https://ghostly.com/products/hot-wet-sassy

God fucking damn, that track was so good. Holy shit.

With this and Centaur Skin, this is an instant pre-order. Just recently picked up Tobacco's "Hungry Eyes" 7" last month too.

Yeah those both are dope, but the Trent vocals are not what most of us are looking for until the last 20 seconds are so.

Love both tracks. Been waiting for Centaur Skin since I saw them play it live last year. Babysitter is just filthy.

The track is cool as shit.

Also - every visual aspect of Tobacco (album covers, projection during live shows etc) is awesome, does he do that himself?

Really love Babysitter. It is sleazy, disturbing and oddly beautiful. Can anyone get a proper handle on the lyrics? I'm hearing bits here and there but some of it is completely lost in the distortion to me.

    I’m the new babysitter
    I’m the new babysitter
    I’m your babysitter
And I can make time slow down
Keep that secret out my ear
    Vous êtes la pire
    You’re second tier
Light the garbage leave it burnin here
Cause you don’t charm me charm me charm me, darlin
    I do
    I do
    For you
    Seein it’s all I do I do
    For you
    I’m the new babysitter
    I’m the new babysitter
    I’m your babysitter
And I can make time slow down
Pretend you’re a demon in my ear
Don’t even wake up when you disappear
Not even conjured in the bathroom mirror
And you don’t love me love me love me, darlin
    I do
    I do
    For you
    Seein it’s all I do I do
    For you

I definitely wasn't expecting traditional vocals on a Tobacco song, so this isn't a surprise, but I'm also glad Trent's voice comes through enough that it doesn't just sound like vocals that could have been done by anyone.

Kind of reminds me of some of David Lynch's music. And the lyrics / Tobacco aesthetic remind me of this:

I love the tracks after a few listens. It's cool when a track can be so short but still feel complete.

It leaked for a bit early this morning and was promptly nuked. It's around if you know where to look.
