I know some people are saying how much Manson sucks live now, but I just don't see it. I've seem him/them live five times, from 2003 to 2105 and always enjoyed myself and thought he put on a good show.

Last year was alright, this Slipnot leg started off a bit iffy and then the quality just dropped off a cliff.
"show" is a subjective term, i guess. so is "good".

Satan wordplay aside I guess his new album title goes along well with the amount of songs he performs at his concerts.
Maybe he should call the live album Perform10
Well he is the opener so 10 songs is about what's to be expected, except when he rants at the crowd for 20 minutes or disappears off stage and only gets in 8 songs. But that album title is terrible.
@Hazekiah it was in nampa (boise). i guess "get your gunn" from the last tour on earth was from the same show. i dunno, man ... him and his cohorts can fellate each other on stage all they want, but it wasn't cute to do that to her. like i said, she ran off in embarrassment.
The Pale Emperor doesn't suck, and he should stick to just doing albums. MM live now is just a bloated has-been that's holding on to that last glimmer of fame from a populace that has, for the most part, seen through his shtick. It's not a massive deal. Hope he plays that casino when he rolls through (literally) on his next tour. I heard the capacity on that place is over 2,000.
I think he's even shittier on this tour than he was in 2009 during High End of Low. It's a shame and embarrassment to watch these videos.

Not for me it wasn't. In 2003 he still had John 5, arguably the best guitarist and musician he ever played with. I'd say of all the shows I've seen, my favorite was in 2015 at the Boston House of Blues.
I'm a fan but he's not like my all-time favorite artist. I can only speak from my own experience when I say I really enjoyed myself.

Let's get this back on topic.
So I finally sat through the video from a few pages back where avalanche announced his new album, the Hot Topicesque 'Say10'...and I'm sort of intrigued. I mean, Twiggy is obviously there for the $$$ (he looks like he wants to die onstage) and with Tyler Bates gone, I wonder who the cast will be. On a sidenote, it'd have to be exhausting to be MM in interviews. Go back and watch that video. I got through about half of it, like 3 minutes...and the putz just HAS to make shitty joke after shitty joke. Sarcastic nonsense after sarcastic nonsense. The interviewer is trying so hard to make it legit and placate his ego but it must be just frustrating. Go back and watch any interviews from 1997 to like, 2000. Sure he'd be sardonic and crack jokes, but he could at least be intelligent enough to deliver a point. Trent was right about the 'dopey clown' thing...
go to 2:50 in of this:
I mean sure, it's bullshit. Playing to the teenage crowd, hell I loved watching this when it aired. Now it's just 'ooh spooky' but at least he was the smartest guy in the room.
Now we get this:
Personally, I'm a fan of his Dr. Double-Entendre/endless-pun style of interview, as well. It's fun, he gives exactly zero fucks, and he's having a good time. Granted, you kind of have to know your shit to have half-a-clue wtf he's talking about, but that's just part of the fun. He's always been pretty cryptic anyway, right? When he feels like it he's completely lucid and easy to follow, he just prefers to fuck around and have fun with it instead, generally speaking.
More power to him, I say.
Yeah, I'll readily admit that firing John 5 is right up there in the TOP FIVE mistakes he's ever made. But the shows are STILL incredibly fun, fwiw. Glad to hear you were at that Boston HoB show too, btw! It really was pretty fucking great.
I happened to be RIGHT in front of Twiggy and his MASSIVE fucking amp stack for that show and I thought FOR SURE that it was going to drown out EVERYTHING in my footage, but instead I just lucked into one of the THE CLEANEST, MOST RICH, FULL, BADASS recordings of Twiggy on bass EVER.
OMFG, man. If you have some SWEET speakers and/or headphones, then it is time to BUST THEM OUT. I swear, my jaw was practically on the floor when I listened to my footage in headphones afterward! Click through to hear the rest if you like it, I posted almost the entire show because it sounded so fucking awesome. A few people actually told me that they don't even hear album versions of those songs in their head anymore, they just hear my Boston bootleg with Twiggy KILLING IT on bass instead, lol.
So yeah, he's playing at the Knotfest in Mexico, tempted to go because of Deftones, Ministry and Meshuggah, not sure if Manson will give fucks, though...
I got to hang out with Manson in a room with nothing but tequila once.
He's not into it, fwiw.
Fuck Marilyn Manson. Go find another forum. I've never liked this thread. It's been a shithole forever. Don't bother to start a new one. I don't really have time to do the maintenance I ought to be doing on ETS, and for 98% of the rest of the forum, the community self-moderates quite well. This thread is most of that remaining 2%, and it's reached the end. I'm going to pay some more attention over at least the next month, and if you manbabies start this garbage up anywhere else on the forum, I don't even care I will straight up ban you, I don't care how civil you are in other threads or how long you've been here. You're wasting bandwidth and server space. If you donated money and want a refund, contact me and I'll make it happen.
