FWIW, Dreams by TVOTR is also Trent performing as a guest, not the other way around.

And I would say keep pages for everything. What are we, running out of server disk space?

    Opinion time people:

I kinda want to make a Covers Of NIN page, just to keep track of them all (and that way Linkin Park, Cash, Maroon 5 etc can get their references without an extensive page).

I was thinking of doing it in the style of Remixes, by album and then by song, for comfortable browsing. Does anyone have a better idea, or thinks this is a bad idea to begin with?

I have no idea how to make a page, but I feel like there should be a page for Mantra. I think it's the only track TR has contributed that heavily to that doesn't have its own page.

If you don't have an account on the wiki, ask for one.

If you have one, just go on this page for example : http://www.nin.wiki/Mantra and click on the grey "create".

And then use another page as a skeleton, like http://www.nin.wiki/Theme_For_Tetsuo:_The_Bullet_Man for example.

I do have an account, and I've made edits, but never a whole page. I may try later if no one beats me to it.

@ninjaw Damn, I'm unsure about live covers because it opens floodgates for SO many bands (the page alone would let anyone add their own after all), but that is useful as fuck
@zecho did not realise we hadn't made one, not against the idea (didn't make it myself because I'm not exactly a fan of the track)

Is it possible to have all those samples playable on a wiki page ?

(better layout to play the tracks : https://www.reddit.com/r/nin/comment...es_by_ninhtda/ )

I went ahead and backed the article up on archive.today (does not work with CloudFlare DNS) and the audio on MEGA.

It was released as a promo single (from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), and was a bonus track on the UK edition of Decemberunderground. Both are identical.

Jinsai’s post in the Radiohead thread just made me notice that there is no mention of the USB leak of Getting Smaller on its page:

Ok so, how do we feel about this style? I'm using the remixes layout to allow space for the potential hundreds of covers incoming. Don't wanna go whole hog if someone has a better idea

I don't know about this. The remixes page is specifically for NIN sanctioned remixes, but covers can be done by anyone. I don't mind the page existing, I just think it'll easily become the largest page on the wiki. I mean, you could probably list a hundred bands for covering Hurt alone.

@ninjaw @nmitchell86 I would make sure to get rid of any links to that source. Even though it was now years ago they really cracked down on it. It was my only email from lawyers about content on the archive. Was no fun.

It wouldn't be so big if we stick to officially released versions. And you maybe over estimating how many covers are there. Yes, you can probably find 20 or even more versions of Hurt, HLAH, Closer and Wish. For the majority of other songs there would be none or very few, and many of them would be from these terrible electro-industrial tribute albums (or piano/string quartet/lullaby versions). Trust me, apart from the Big 4, there aren't that many.

As for live-only covers, we can maybe limit the page to well established bands/artists and exclude the millions of youtube solo versions and cover bands.

I was thinking for studio covers, we allow anything released commercially, and for live, maybe it has to be notable?
Remember membership to the wiki is still closed, so it's not like anyone can sign up and add their band. But I do agree its potential size is insane, I just kinda like the idea of having a list

I’ve added in the trivia section for Burning Bright, The Background World and I’m Not From This World that they’ve all been featured in episodes of TNT’s Animal Kingdom. On that note, have we got it mentioned on any page that the theme song for the show was composed by TR and AR? The “sheeee...” at the beginning reminds me so much of Reptile. It’s called Welcome To The Jungle: @sheepdean

It's actually composed by AR and his wife, Claudia Sarne. Trent probably co-produced it.
