Why is WIndows 8 such a piece of shit? The whole APPS thing is way more difficult and un-user-friendly than anything I've ever tried. Skype is total garbage on it. Thanks Microsoft. If I get some cash, I'm going to buy a MacBook.

Heheh...I've heard this a lot, but I think I'm the only person on the planet who thinks that Windows 8.1 is actually great. I went straight from 7 to 8.1 about a month ago and it really improved my PC's performance. My games run much smoother, the start up time is much faster, I like the Metro interface (the Wikipedia, Evernote and NY Times apps run really well for me) and the visual look is cool. It was a bit of a learning curve, for sure, but once I got the hang of it all was good. True, some apps (Skype had a rough start for me) kind of suck but I think shortly they'll be improved.Originally Posted by cashpiles
