Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to this exercise at all...
Not to add to your paranoia, but good call on looking for covered/lidded storage. Someone in the NIN Collecting Facebook group (I think) just posted pictures of part of their collection that was pissed all over by some kind of critter - while it was sitting unprotected in storage. Literally like $1000 of damage. :/ At least from what was pictured. Better safe than sorry!

Whenever I dig into crates at a yard sale or record store I always find cheap copies of the first 2 albums.
There was just a RSD release of album 1 in mono.
I really like Vinyl Me Please though. I signed up for a year and have been happy with their hiphop releases.

Yeah - I saw that too, ugh! Iím a big proponent of lidded and ideally water-resistant storage out of my own deep paranoia about damage to my collection while in storage. If weight and cost werenít an obstacle, Iíd have everything in big plastic bins with lids secured by multiple latches. All my CDs are in a variety of these (the best of which have come from the The Container Store, if anyone was wondering), but Iíve relied on cardboard moving boxes for bulkier items like box sets. Now I just need to figure out whether something like my CD bins exists in a size large enough to store the LPs.

started in on a big backlog yesterday as i hadn't listened to a record in literally a month! o.O

barnett / coloccia / mueller • see through
    300 copies on clear w/white splatter, hand-printed & -numbered postcard 19/25

earth • full upon her burning lips
2xLP on green & black galaxy swirl in gatefold sleeve
definitely the coolest picture i've ever taken of any of my records. i was actually worried when i opened it because without a light source behind it, the vinyl looks straight up black.

    helms alee • noctiluca
500 copies on glow in the dark green

young widows / sweet cobra • live at three floyds brewing (split LP)
420 copies on random marble color

Finally grabbed one of these after missing the initial preorder earlier this year. Seeing the entire Clan next week and this will tide me over until next Wednesday. WU-TANG!

Poe - Haunted ( I too can hardly believe I own this on vinyl now)

    Hot Snakes - Jericho Sirens
Scott Walker - Scott Walker Sings Jacques Brel
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Once More with Feeling (red/blue "Sweet" swirl color)

Just received my original first pressing Lullabies to Paralyze by Queens of the Stone Age. For those of you who don't know, they recently found a ton of these, still sealed, in storage and put them up on their website. I think they were available for a few hours before they were all sold out. Pretty cool.
