Yeah, I do none of those... but I like my method. Sure, it takes like 15min per side but it works very well. Q-tips, isopropyl alcohol, felt brush, carbon fibre brush and.... my turntable spinning at 33 1/3, 45 and 78 RPMs. First I dry clean with the brushes, then wet clean with the q-tips+isopropyl alcohol and then one more half-way dry clean again and ready to go.

The wet cleaning is the detailed part. First I painted with the isopropyl alcohol a wedge on the platter and fill it in with the q-tip going back and forth. Repeat for the whole disc. Then starting from the inside and having the record spinning at 33 1/3, paint each band(or track), one at a time with a q-tip until you reach the outside edge. Do that at 45 RPM and again at 78 RPM. Now still at 78RPM, just focus on the band breaks (or the quiet parts between each song... if applicable). And then do it one more time, with each band again, but start in the middle of each band and work your way to each band break.

One more dry clean with felt brush at 33 1/3 dry to wipe off excess moisture and then the carbon fiber again (just in case).

    Hope it make ense.

It's worth listening to for the different break up of the tracks... I think it makes the album make more thematic sense.

Yeah that's one thing that bothers me about these bootlegs. Wish they would've at least used the unique vinyl tracklisting.

    un • sentiment
2x12” 45rpm reissue on metallic gold/swamp green merge w/green/blue/red splatter limited to 250 copies, spot gloss gatefold sleeve
this album is not only one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever heard (and a perfect balance of beauty and heaviness), it has maybe the most gorgeous artwork i’ve ever seen on an album. fingers crossed that un’s first album gets reissued soon!

Unironically excited for the reissue of Plantasia! Found this via YouTube recommendation several years back and still listen a few times a year.

There's also a CD version, a tote bag, and some shirts (I bought the "Woman With Her Plants" shirt for my wife).

I wish I would have bought that Sacred Bones Record Society membership.

Just ordered the new UNKLE LP, out in a few days, The Road: Part II! Triple-colored vinyl from the UNKLE store is autographed by James Lavelle, limited to 1,500. Loving everything I’ve heard from this one so far.

    https://store.unkle.info/

Also, for those interested: the Gone Girl soundtrack on vinyl is on sale at Amazon for $14 bucks, with AutoRip digital copy. It’s “temporarily unavailable,” but it seems like they’re planning on filling orders once they arrive.

the cinematic orchestra • to believe
deluxe edition 2xLP on 180g white & 180g clear vinyl
absolutely gorgeous, kept tearing up while listening to it

the cinematic orchestra presents in motion #1
    2xLP in heavyweight card-stock gatefold
somehow missed this 2012 release until earlier this year, which is a shame because it's phenomenal

    sneaker pimps • splinter
    2017 reissued 2xLP on 180g vinyl
as much as i'll always love "becoming x", this album is a huge step up in creativity & songwriting skills, and it hits me way harder emotionally because of chris corner's vocals

According to the back cover of this Silent Hill 2 soundtrack from Mondo, we can expect to see the Metal Gear Solid vinyl soundtrack later in 2019. Fucking finally!

    ^^

I bought the Silent Hill 2 vinyl as well. Got the neat bloodred version.

The SH2 OST is probably one of, if not the most influential and important sets of music of all time for me. It seriously changed my life as a kid and was a catalyst for an incredible amount in my life. It's so cool to have it on vinyl finally.

And the MGS OST on vinyl? Fuck. Yes.

It's so bizarre this is some of the only cool shit coming out of Konami.

That's why I posted the date range. MOV did it first and the nin.com carried it the year after.

Anyone know how the two compare? Looks like Amazon has both.
One is $21 from May of 2017
And the other is about $10 more from Jan of 2017.

Are there any noticeable issues with the cheaper one?

I think they only difference might be the MOV editions are a gatefold sleeve release and the other one is a single sleeve. I think...
