The 1990 FR 12" release of "I.C. Water" by Psychic TV... because the LP version of the song isn't the same as the CD version (different durations) and this 12" has the CD version on it....

The 2014 US release of "Not A Pretty Girl" by Ani DiFranco... never heard an album by her before, so looking forward to that.

Finally got around to adding in the alphabetical dividers into the collection... numbers and letters A, (and most of) B are in crates now... that's fine. Will need more of those to keep growing though. Feels good to get that done.

Music millennium in Portland is huge. You could easily get lost in the for a couple hours. Everyday Music is pretty nice too.

which part of Washington? Vancouver - right across the river - has one that's pretty nice. I mean it's no Music Millennium but it's pretty good for those of us who don't want to run across the river in that insane traffic.

That said I go to MM every record story day because it's the nicest one in the area. It's shit for parking though so you might have to walk a block or three to get there.

read this elsewhere and it made me laugh as someone who thought "should I get into these guys?" and quickly changed my mind on physical vs. digital.
Can you imagine being a hardcore King Gizzard fan, and collecting all their vinyl releases? Seems kind of mean, really. These kids are already riddled with mounting or future crippling tuition debt - amongst other things - and now are having to spend tens of thousands for records just to listen to their favorite band. Kind of a bunch of assholes when you think about it.

a classic how did this get made? episode on vinyl. I only wish it were the entire recorded show and not the edited one they put out out for the podcast.

Hey! My hotel is in Vancouver. I'm heading out to MM now, and to explore around that area of Portland (Ice Rink in LLoyd's looks good)

    Thanks for the reply

Portland Music Millennium scores. I had to restrain myself a fair bit, passed on Gone Girl for example, but these have to fit into cabin luggage

That place is one of the things I missed most after moving out of Portland.

It's a good store, but visiting it gave me a renewed appreciation for my local store in Newcastle, UK, which I think is a world-class hidden gem. I wrote a little about that (and my Portland trip) in this blog post https://jmtd.net/log/portland/

It's been a while so just want to remind everyone that I run an online record store and we are now selling official shirts and hoodies which will be of particular interest if you are into Hydra Head bands like Isis, Cave In, Jesu, Xasthur, Pelican, OMG, etc.

If we have anything you want, please feel free to make us an offer using the Make an Offer button on every listing. Shipping is free within the US and if you're outside of CO you won't have to pay sales tax.

Same and TBH, I was not impressed with the packaging of this. It's all flimsy paper/card stock.

I got mine and it came with the condom, something I was missing from the "Isn't Everyone" order.
Copies ordered directly from Health incl. “Health” sticker and “Feel nothing” condom.

    Can’t edit that to add:

Picked up Cake, Audioslave, and The Crow soundtrack yesterday. Saw a couple others but maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll still be there this weekend.

FINALLY got my hands on this all time classic. Passed on it for about $30 at a Newbury Comics about 4 years ago and have been kicking myself ever since as the aftermarket price has skyrocketed.

man, literally what I was coming in here to post! I have the pages open and refresh every couple days to check and was happy I found them available.

    And Boingo? My god.

    Only 1000 copies? fuck that.

edit: wait, that's Europe...will it be different for the US? One can hope.

MOV only do pressings in Europe as far as I'm aware, so you'll have to import yourself or find a site like acoustic sounds that imports releases. I hope they'll do a repress eventually, cause I'm sitting it out for now.

huh, the local shop here has had a handful of MOV pressings. I'm looking at the Sap/Jar of Flies that I bought there now.

Edit: I might call them up and see if they can order one.
