My “Panther Modern - LA2020” limited blue run came in yesterday. It sounds so nice.

Wasn’t on Discogs yet. So I made a contribution. Hopefully I did it right.

1994 promo version of KMFDM's "Light" 12" (picked up for the obvious NIN reason), 1989 12" KLF release of "What Time Is Love (Pure Trance 1)" and a still sealed (leftover from a DJ pool) 12" of "Last Train To Trancentral" also by The KLF.

Love this album so much. My deluxe vinyl set arrived today, and even though it's hot as fuck in my room without the AC running (can't hear the music with the AC on), I'm in here spinning it.

The 2022 red marbled reissues of "6:66 Satan's Child" by Danzig... again for mixtape remastering purposes. Never heard it before, just the song "Thirteen"...

The 2015 not original pressing of "Stone Free - a tribute to Jimi Hendrix"... apparently The Cure track was used as inspiration for the Grand Central Station scene in the movie Hackers, and since I really like that soundtrack and want to put together kind of a all inclusive playlist... well... I figured what the hell.

(edited the original post because I'm silly)

That appears to be the 2015 Music on Vinyl repress, not the original pressing.

Oh damn, right! I had looked at the original but opted for the MOV... I should have like, paid attention to the sticker on the front instead of memory.

My local record store had an original pressing of Skinny Puppy's Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse available. The sleeve's not in the best condition, but the record itself sounds great as ever. Couldn't say no.

Took my son to the shops for his birthday. Saw a copy of Music for 18 Musicians that was very interesting but also $50.

Got him a copy of Sgt Pepper's because he was looking for it. Got home and he played it but when he flipped it over it was playing the same songs. Now, I'm unclear on record production but aren't they, ah, pressed?

Oh came home to a copy of Pretty Eight Machine. Can't wait to listen to it.

Funny story: we were discussing the Sgt Pepper's and my wife said, "do you think my mom would know who Sgt pepper is?" So we've been laughing at her for a good ten minutes. Told her to call her mom and ask if she knew Sgt pepper was. Continued laughing. Wife is unenthused.

The 2015 release of "Load" by Metallica and the 1999 release of "Are a Drag" by Me First and the Gimme Gimme's... yes, both for remastering, "Load" I know fairly well but "Are A Drag" I've only heard a bit of. I mean, it's punk covers... I know what I'm getting into.

This is the only Megadeth album I have heard period. I love it it's groovy as hell and gets really Rush-y at times.

I'm guessing Volume 2 is the rest of the 2017 reissue bonus tracks because the 2017 deluxe version had a CD for those instead of a vinyl release.

maybe a stupid question but is Wal-Mart getting rid of vinyl in-store? I was at the local and noticed a bunch of Metallica releases on the shelf. I grabbed Garage, Inc. because it was the one I most wanted* and figured I could come back for the rest on payday three days later.

I go back three days later and it looks like am 80% reduction in their stock took place, like a buy 1 get 2 free or something. I just looked online and almost no vinyl is in stock at stores near me. Which is doubly weird because you go to their vinyl page and the header image says "Metallica Exclusive Vinyl. Preorder now. Out June 17th."

    so weird.

*I found a repress of The 5.98 EP in a local record store on the 18th for $15 so finding Garage Inc. a week later was annoying.

I miss collecting vinyl. At one time I had probably over 200 LPs in my collection, but sold it off as I moved across the country. Love reading this thread..keep the vinyl alive!
